The holiday season has officially arrived in Disney World!
The decorations are up, new merchandise is out, and the joyous nature of the season is in the air! Also, one of our favorite Disney World holiday traditions has returned! That’s right, the gingerbread house at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa is currently under construction!
This isn’t just any old gingerbread house, though — this is a beautiful massive house that will eventually have a sweets shop inside! Here’s what the latest progress on it looks like!
The frame for the house is up, all it’s missing is the gingerbread and decorations!

Each year, Disney’s Grand Floridian celebrates the holiday with a GIANT gingerbread house that sets up shop in the lobby. Inside the house is a shop where you can buy gingerbread and festive treats through the holiday season. You can check out what the finished house looked like last year below!
Every year, we’re amazed at the artistry that goes into putting the gingerbread house together, so once more, we have to applaud the efforts of Disney culinary team! And the Grand Floridian isn’t the only hotel that celebrates with LOTS of gingerbread. At Disney’s Beach Club Resort, they’ve already built their gingerbread carousel, which has a Disney princess theme this year.
