We’re live from the first night of Oogie Boogie Bash in 2022, and it has been a BLAST so far!
Here at Disney California Adventure, we’ve been checking out the Halloween treats, meeting some obscure characters, scouring the merchandise, and more. But with tonight’s event sold out, how bad are the crowds? Are they affecting our ability to accomplish everything on the to-do list? Let’s see!
When we first arrived tonight, it wasn’t too busy at the front gate of the park. Getting inside and checking in for the party was fairly easy!
Outside of the entrance, we spotted this sign letting guests know that the event was sold out, and that the park would be closing at 6PM.
Inside, much of the main crowd concentration could be found in line for character meets, treat trails, and the Villains Grove. Check out this line to meet Bruno from Encanto!
The Villains Grove line was long and stayed long most of the night. We waited quite a while to get to this walkthrough attraction!
And if you’re hoping to meet Minnie, Daisy, and Clarabelle dressed as the Sanderson Sisters, be prepared to wait a while. Their line stayed long all night!
Many guests were staking out their spots for the parade early this evening, but that cleared the walkways up significantly.
Most of the viewing spots were taken before the Headless Horseman rode through the parade route, so you might want to plan ahead to get that perfect view.
Keep in mind that every night is sold out for Oogie Boogie Bash this year, so the best thing you can do when visiting is plan ahead. Decide which characters, treat trails, and entertainment options are a must-do, and prioritize those things. If there’s something particularly important to you, head there FIRST thing.
It’s likely that you’ll encounter some pretty long lines during your visit, but make sure to relax and be patient, especially with the Cast Members. The number of things you accomplish won’t dictate your ability to have an amazing time!
