NEWS: MagicBand+ COST Announced for Disney World

There’s something really exciting coming to Disney World soon!

No, we’re not talking about the additions to Toy Story Land or the changes in EPCOT (although those are both SUPER exciting!), we’re talking about MagicBand+! This new version of MagicBands is launching in Disney World on July 27th, and we’ve now got details on the PRICING.

When MagicBand+ launches, it will be available in a number of stores around Disney World, as well as on shopDisney. Regular guests can purchase the bands for prices starting at $34.99.

If you’re a Disney World Resort guest, you can order special discounted MagicBand+ designs online before your trip, and there will be discounts available for Annual Passholders as well.

Here are the in-person locations where you’ll be able to buy a MagicBand+ on July 27th:

• Magic Kingdom Park: Emporium
• EPCOT: Pin Traders – Camera Center
• Disney’s Hollywood Studios: Celebrity 5 & 10 and Tatooine Traders
• Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park: Discovery Trading Company
• Disney Springs: Disney’s Pin Traders
• Select merchandise locations at Disney Resort hotels

MagicBand+ will have all the same features as a regular MagicBand (unlocking your door, acting as a park ticket, scanning in at Lightning Lanes, charging to your hotel room, etc.), however, there will be some special enhancements as well. You can use your MagicBand+ to interact with the Disney Fab 50 character statues around the parks or play the new Star Wars: Batuu Bounty Hunters game in Galaxy’s Edge. It will also feature special effects during the nighttime spectaculars — Disney Enchantment at Magic Kingdom and Harmonious at EPCOT.

Some MagicBand+ bands were accidentally released in Disney Springs a few months ago, and on that day, they were sold for $29.99, so the price listed for the actual launch is a bit more expensive. We’re interested to see how the price varies between styles since there will be more than 25 designs to choose from.
