What You Need to Know About the Average Cost of Gas Near Disney World

If you’re traveling to Disney World by car, you probably want to budget for high gas prices.

Gas prices have been over $4 per gallon in Florida

Between high airfare costs and record-high gas prices, traveling to Disney World is not a cheap endeavor right now. Though gas prices in Central Florida have been quite high recently, they currently seem to be trending down slightly.

According to Spectrum News 13, gas prices are averaging around $4 per gallon in Florida, which is lower than the average price of $4.14 earlier in April. Florida gas prices previously reached a record-high $4.38 per gallon on March 11th, 2022.

According to Spectrum News 13, AAA has reported that Florida gas prices have been decreasing, but they’re still much higher than past average February gas prices of $3.50 per gallon. The most recent average Florida gas prices per gallon were as follows:

Monday, April 11th: $4.07
Tuesday, April 12th: $4.05
Wednesday, April 13th: $4.03
Thursday, April 14th: $4.01
Friday, April 15th: $4.00

Spectrum News 13 reported that the average U.S. price for gas (as opposed to just Florida) was $4.07 on Friday, April 15th. But, the price actually rose slightly to $4.09 after that. We’ll have to wait and see whether this trend of decreasing gas prices continues for the Sunshine State, as AAA notes that the prices can continue to fluctuate.
