Disney Springs’ New Hotel is Now Taking Reservations!

If you’re planning a trip to Disney World, you might want to consider staying at a Disney Springs-area hotel. These are hotels that are officially located on Disney World property but operated by third parties.

Disney Springs hotels could be a good option for your next Disney World stay

And they’re a great choice for guests on a budget or for those guests who want to be within walking distance of Disney Springs, especially as guests get many of the same perks as they would at a Disney-owned hotel (like early theme park entry). And now, a brand new hotel in the area is accepting reservations!

The Drury Plaza Hotel at Disney Springs sits on the property where the Best Western Lake Buena Vista used to reside. However, Drury Hotels bought the space and tower that was there in 2019. A second tower was added to the property to increase capacity. And reservations are now open!

The hotel, which is located about half a mile from Disney Springs, will offer free shuttle service to all four Disney World theme parks. Guests also get a free hot breakfast, evening snacks, cold beverages, and free Wi-Fi throughout the property. There will also be several on-site restaurants, as well as a pool and arcade.

Reservations are now available for stays on and after October 27th. We checked the prices for that first week (October 27th through November 3rd) and received a standard rate of around $163 ($157 for Drury Rewards members) for a room with 2 Queen Beds or 1 King Bed. These rates will vary, depending on the time of your stay, though.

That pricing puts the hotel on par with Disney World’s value resorts, so it could be a good option to consider if you want the extra perk of free breakfast, as well as a few other amenities, like a microwave in each room.

We’ll keep an eye on the hotel’s progress and let you know what it’s like once it opens! So stay tuned for more!

  1. We stayed at a Disney Springs (Downtown Disney at the time) hotel once and swore not to stay in that area again. The walk from the hotel to Disney Springs to catch buses is a killer, and the hotel provided minimal transportation to the parks. The hotel area felt like a deserted island with very little connection to Disney World. The hotel and the room were fine, but there was no “Disney experience” involved, and overall it was not worth extra money to be closer to Disney Springs. Regular shuttle buses from the hotel area to Disney Springs would have made all the difference.

    1. You must be thinking of something else bc these hotels are in property just not Disney owned and if you can’t wait from any of these hotels to Disney Springs you probably need to start thinking of a nice retirement community to run out the clock. Also you seem to be irate about so much minutiae that you are probably never happy no matter your surroundings.

    2. I stayed there in 2017, on my first Disney trip because I didn’t really know anything about Disney. I thought it was great for the price. Stayed at Wyndham on corner next to Disney Springs and walked over in 5 min. It sounds as though you were there prior to the build up.
