UPDATE: The Disney site has continued to have loading issues and wait times as of January 6th.
Over the past few years, we’ve seen Disney have quite a few technology glitches.
The My Disney Experience app is known for having issues from time to time, and we’ve seen Disney websites get overloaded on more than one occasion. And today, it happened again when Disney World announced a new discount!
This morning, Disney World announced several new offers for regular guests, Florida Residents, and Annual Passholders. Apparently, so many guests were excited about these deals that they flooded the Disney World website, causing it to get backed up.
Currently, if you log into the site’s Special Offers page, you’ll encounter a waiting room. Earlier this morning, the wait time was around 30 minutes, but at the time of publishing, it has jumped up to about 45 minutes. Hope you have some time to kill!
Once the waiting room times out, you’re given a few minutes to enter the Special Offers page and accomplish your task. We’ll keep you updated if anything changes with this situation, or if any other tech issues arise.
