After construction delays, we’ve got an update about the new expansion project!

According to the Orlando Business Journal, Lockheed Martin made two sales to Universal City Development Partners Limited on December 2nd that were 5.25 acres and 7.66 acres in size. This allows Universal and the local government to work on new infrastructure for Universal’s upcoming Epic Universe park.

According to Orlando Business Journal, “The documents state both segments are right-of-way for the 1.7-mile Kirkman Road extension, which will pass both the Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control campus and Universal’s proposed Epic Universe theme park that is under construction.”

  1. I thought they did this ages ago? We’ve been hearing about this forever. I thought they had already started on the park?

    1. The title can be confusing. The article states that this land is for Right of Way for a road extension to the NOW under construction park. Maybe a title of “buys ADDITIONAL land for new theme park” would be less confusing.
