Last night was the return of the 4th annual Ramen Rumble, hosted at Morimoto Asia in Disney Springs.

The Ramen Rumble charity event was sponsored by Morimoto Asia and Good Salt Restaurant Group, and six Ramen chefs had the opportunity to compete to win. We were able to visit and enjoy six steaming bowls of Ramen, so here’s our experience!

We visited Morimoto Asia in Disney Springs for the Ramen Rumble, and an $80 ticket granted Ramen Rumble guests six delicious bowls of Ramen from each of the six participating chefs competing for the honor of winning the prestigious “Broth Belt.” Part of the event proceeds benefit Give Kids the World, a nonprofit resort space in Central Florida where kids with critical illnesses and their families are able to stay for a free, weeklong vacation.

In addition to the Ramen sampling, each Ramen Rumble ticket includes a drink and a traditional Asian dessert. There was also a cash bar and t-shirts available for purchase, as well as a silent auction. The participating restaurants this year included Morimoto Asia, Seito Sushi, Susuru, Ichicoro Ramen, Ramen Takagi, and Yugiri Ramen Project.

Among the six Ramen bowls, the Seito Sushi Ramen was called XO Mazemen, made with curry sauce, pork belly, uni butter, onsen tamago, and cucumber, with thick, straight, flat, white noodles.

And the Morimoto Asia Ramen, named Surf n’ Turf Ramen, included Gyu-kotsu (beef bone marrow broth), a 5-Wagyu and Hokkaido scallop, scallions, and black pepper oil, with thick, yellow, wavy noodles.

Not only does this event benefit a great cause, we thought that $80 for six bowls of Ramen was an amazing deal. If you’re a Ramen fan, you might want to attend this event next year! Keep reading All Ears for more Disney World news!
