We’ve seen a variety of things change as the situation with COVID-19 develops.
Mask rules have changed, some locations in the United States are requiring proof of vaccination or a negative test in order to serve certain customers, and other regulations have adjusted and been modified over time. Now, we’ve got an update regarding Disney’s COVID-19 vaccination requirement for its employees.
According to Fox 35 Orlando, Cast Members at Disney World plan to march against the company’s COVID-19 vaccine mandate.
Back on July 30th, the Disney Company announced that it would require all salaried and non-union hourly employees in the United States working at any of their sites to be fully vaccinated. Cast Members were given 60 days to get their COVID-19 vaccination.
Since that time, Disney World and Union leaders have also come to an agreement regarding the vaccine mandate for more Disney World Cast Members.
The march is set to begin at 2PM at 12151 S. Apopka Vineland Rd. Participants in the march are expected to walk up and down Lake Buena Vista Boulevard. A similar protest is scheduled for Friday in Anaheim, California.
Update: According to Fox 35 Orlando, about 30 Cast Members gathered for the march. Another march is planned for September 26th at 3PM starting at Manny’s Restaurant on Apopka Vineland Road. Fox 35 Orlando shares that the Cast Members will be joined by various first responders during this march.
We’ll keep an eye out for more updates.
“Cast Members”, huh? My guess is that is a tiny fraction of the total in both locations. This headline makes it sound like they are all matching. Nope. The cast majority of CMs are welcoming this step.
Good for them!
Good for them! Stand up for your rights!
It has nothing to do with your rights!! Read the constitution. It’s a health emergency!!!!
Hope they’re gone and replaced before my trip.
Me too!!!
Awesome. Good for them.
Good for them, this should not be mandated period.
Seriously!!!! ☹️
