Disney’s latest animated feature film, Encanto, is set release on November 24th and we can’t wait to see it!
Recently, the directors of the film sat down with Good Morning America to discuss the movie’s characters!
Encanto follows the story of the Madrigal family, who all have extraordinary powers and live in the mountains of Colombia!
The movie’s main character is Mirabel, who is the only one without magical powers in the Madrigal family! She’s especially jealous of her older sister Isabela, who is the golden child of the family and is extraordinary among even her superpowered family.
Mirabel’s other sister Luisa has the power of super strength and not only can carry immense physical burdens, but emotional ones too. She’s the main support for Mirabel in her times of need. Mirabel’s aunt and uncle, Pepa and Felíx, are a perfectly balanced couple. Pepa is overly dramatic and emotional, plus she controls the weather!
Pepa and Felíx’s daughter, Dolores may be quiet, but she knows all the family gossip! Camilo is a teenager who can shapeshift and uses his power to try to figure out who he is. Finally, Antonio is the lovable roommate of Mirabel, who still has to sleep in the nursery due to not having power, and he can control animals!
