From EPCOT and Magic Kingdom to Disney’s Contemporary Resort and off-site properties all over the place, construction continues to ramp up throughout Disney World and beyond.

Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort, in particular, has been the center of a ton of construction lately, between its major Moana-inspired refurbishments and its Monorail update. Today, we swung by the hotel to check on the latter!
The Monorail at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort has been closed for quite a while at this point, and the platform was fully demolished earlier this year. While it’s been blocked off to guests, construction has been keeping apace, as we saw today.

While there’s still clearly a lot of work to be done, we could tell that crews have been making a lot of headway, and we can see the new station coming together, slowly but surely.

Inside the hotel, platform access is still walled off…

…and it looks the same outside.

Construction fences fully surround the Monorail station.

Equipment and construction vehicles are everywhere!

The Monorail is still zipping by, but it doesn’t currently stop at the Polynesian.

There’s a lot happening here, and a lot coming together.

It looks like completion is still a ways off, but progress is definitely happening! We’ll continue to keep you updated on the latest Monorail construction at the Polynesian and beyond!
