Have You Experienced This Disney World FastPass Glitch Too?

As you may know, FastPass+, the system Disney uses that allows guests a shorter wait in line for attractions, has not been available since Disney World reopened last summer.

This is partially due to the fact that extra queue space is needed to hold lines right now since all parties must be safely distanced. While Disney hasn’t said anything further on a potential return of the FastPass system, we did notice a little glitch on  My Disney Experience today, which caused a little confusion.

A reader pointed out to us that the FastPass+ button was showing up on My Disney Experience for them. So, we decided to look into it ourselves. Normally, if you attempt to access FastPass+ from the My Disney Experience app, you get a message that pops up and informs you that the service is currently not available.

However, when we tried it out on our desktop, there was a prompt to book FastPasses, along with the usual prompts for hotel, ticket, and dining reservations.

When hovering over the FastPass+ button, we saw the familiar prompt to “make a selection” and it even became clickable — this is a dedicated glitch!

Sadly, the journey ended here. When we clicked the “Make a Selection” button, we were taken back to the main page for park information. Unfortunately, we will still be waiting for the return of the FastPass+ system.

While we can’t say for certain when it may come back, the announcement that Disneyland will also be foregoing FastPass upon reopening is likely a sign we’ll be waiting a while longer. However, we’ll be sure to keep you updated as soon as we hear anything new!

  1. Kristine is right. Wait times are long and getting longer. I’ve been to WDW two times once last fall and one time last winter. Both times I could not wait for several of my favorite rides due to very long wait times. IMO, fast pass needs to be fast passed back right now.

  2. I love no fastpass! With fastpass I felt like I could only ride my three reserved E ticket rides. Now it is possible to get on everything with a little planning. I hate standing in a line that doesn’t move as hundreds of people get on before me.

  3. I can’t wait for the return of Fast Pass (if ever). The wait times are such now that guests spend most of their time standing in line thus getting less value for the money. I can’t see guests being too happy about this come summer if WDW increases capacity. Obtaining Fast Passes when staying onsite was a definite perk.
