Okay, so Loki might end up being one of the most genius Marvel moves ever as we all HIGHLY anticipate the arrival of the series.

We’ve already been paying attention to the sneak peeks and poster drops as we wait for the show’s June 11th debut date on Disney+. But, now the newest trailer is giving us a LOT to talk about. And, of course, we have to share our thoughts and theories with you!
Okay, before anything else, take the time to watch the trailer before we break down everything we saw in it!
Multiverse of Madness Lead-In
In the final episodes of WandaVision, there was some focus on the fact that Wanda and Vision were both “Nexus Beings“ who are able to affect reality and the future. These beings are strictly monitored by the Time Variance Authority to ensure that timelines are kept in order and things don’t go awry.

And, now that Loki is breaking open the multiverse for us as he travel to different timelines, we already have an idea of what chaos could be in store for Wanda and Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness film. Although we aren’t exactly sure why they’ll be having to explore the various parts of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, we’re sure that it’s not going to all be pretty.

Marvel has already confirmed that the Doctor Strange sequel will have more of a horror tone, compared to the humorous situations that Loki has clearly put himself into in his show. Yet, Loki has been confirmed to have some influence over the Multiverse of Madness.

Whether that means he will pop into a timeline featuring Wanda and Doctor Strange during Loki or he will need to help them during the Multiverse of Madness, we think the trio’s dynamic would be VERY interesting.
Will Loki Save the Avengers?
Let’s rewind for a quick second to talk about the fact that Doctor Strange said there were over 14 MILLION realities where the Avengers didn’t defeat Thanos (and only one where they did in Avengers: Endgame). Now that Loki has literally stolen one of the Infinity Stones, there’s bound to be repercussions for the branches of reality he’s created.

Specifically, he’s probably propelled realities where the Avengers lose against Thanos. This would be a VERY big deal, since Loki might have to save them. And, since Loki is still technically a villain during the timeline Loki takes place, this would even change his view on reality itself. Later on, Loki becomes an unsuspecting hero through his character development. But, saving the Avengers would give him that nudge a bit earlier.

And, if you think about it, the fact that Loki stole the Space Stone could even add a wedge in Thanos’ own plans. There may even be a reality where both the Avengers AND Thanos lose to this. Or, maybe Thanos will have to bargain with Loki to get the Space Stone.

We’d also like to note there is a quick moment in the trailer where Loki is sitting next to a red-haired woman, looking out over a moment of chaos. Since we are just around the corner from Black Widow making its debut, there could even be other AVENGERS Variants we see in Loki.

Loki even seemingly returns to Asgard, which we know was destroyed at the end of Thor: Ragnarok. Could that mean he could appear in Thor: Love and Thunder, then? We want answers, Marvel!!

There’s a whole lot of opportunities and ways that Loki could play out now that Marvel is jumping into the multiverse.
MORE Variants of Loki
Since Loki isn’t technically himself in this series, but an alternate timeline version instead, he has been dubbed the “Loki Variant” by the Time Variance Authority. And, if we’re seeing one version of the character, there’s a HIGH probability that we could see more Loki Variants along the way too.

Along the way, Loki could even kick off his character development early by realizing how many times he has stabbed people in the back (which Mobius M. Mobius even states directly to him). Loki may be forced to confront his trickster ways in moments we haven’t seen before as he watched horrible scenarios play out because of his actions.

At the end of the series, the Loki Variant we follow may have be placed back into the main timeline he left. We’ve already seen Captain America exist in a branched timeline for decades to have a life with Peggy before coming back to the main one to give Sam Wilson his shield.

While it’s clear Loki will exist in various multiverses and timelines in the series, the situation may be rectified by the Time Variance Authority by returning him to his main timeline after Loki cleans up a few messes he made.
Young Avengers…Again.
Okay, we KNOW we’ve been harping on all the Young Avengers content. But, there’s a possibility that another member of the team could be making an appearance in Loki. We’ve already met Billy and Tommy in WandaVision, whose alter egos are Wiccan and Speed on the Young Avengers team. Elijah Bradley has also popped up in The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, which has many fans thinking he could become Patriot.

Plus, America Chavez (Miss America) will be debuting in the Multiverse of Madness, Kate Bishop (Hawkeye) will appear as Clint Barton’s trainee in Hawkeye, and Cassie Lang could become Stinger in a future Ant-Man movie. As Marvel sets up the possibility of a Young Avengers film, Loki could even introduce Kid Loki. In the Marvel Comics, there is a point where Loki is reborn without his adult memories and trained by Thor to fight as a hero alongside the Young Avengers.

So, could Marvel end up going down this route so soon? It would be a MASSIVE giveaway to the fact the Young Avengers would definitely be happening, if they took this road. Obviously, though, we’ll just have to wait and see! We can’t wait to see how Loki plays out when it debuts this summer. In the meantime, though, you can stay tuned with All Ears for the latest Marvel entertainment and news you need to know!

So does this mean that this isn’t the Loki that gets killed by Thanos in Avengers: Infinity War. But a version of Loki from an alternate timeline. This is going to be awesome.
