NEWS: Disney Takes Home Several SAG Awards!

Last night’s Screen Actors Guild Awards show was definitely one to remember and we certainly won’t forget all the incredible Disney nominations, including Mulan and The Mandalorian!

The night was filled with touching tributes and celebrated the work of some of our favorite on-screen actors. And, of course, Disney won big in several SAG categories!

The SAG Awards honored the late actor Chadwick Boseman, known for his role as T’Challa in Marvel’s The Black Panther. According to CNN’s coverage of the event, Boseman was posthumously recognized with the Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Leading Role award for his performance in Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom.

Some other Disney stars went home with SAG awards, including the cast and crew of The Mandalorian, which won Outstanding Action Performance by a Stunt Ensemble in a Comedy or Drama Series.

Honorable mentions also include the cast and crew of the live-action film Mulan, which was nominated for Outstanding Action Performance by a Stunt Ensemble in a Motion Picture.

Needless to say, Disney scored some serious awards last night! We can’t wait to see which awards they take home during this year’s Oscars. You can watch the Oscar’s April 25th on ABC. Check back with us as we keep you up to date on all of Disney’s latest film projects!
