Earlier this month, France put regional curfews and restrictions in place on nonessential businesses, which caused Disneyland Paris to delay their previously scheduled April 2nd reopening date.
The New York Times has reported that France will expand those restrictions to the entire country as it prepares to enter its third nation-wide lockdown.
President Emmanuel Macron has announced today that the lockdown will last for one month, as the country reaches 5,000 residents in the ICU — the first time that number has been reached since last April.
In addition to the closure of nonessential businesses, the lockdown includes restrictions on the amount of time residents can spend outdoors, limiting them to stay within six miles of their homes.
Earlier this month, Disneyland Paris had shared that they were “optimistic that [they] will be able to reopen soon,” but the closure continues to be open-ended with no reopening date announced.
We’ll continue to keep a close eye on Disneyland Paris, which looks to be the last Disney park worldwide to reopen.
