PHOTOS: Here Are the Crowds From Disney California Adventure’s Sold Out Event!

We’re BACK in Disney California Adventure for the first time in over a year to bring you live day one coverage of A Touch of Disney!

We’re here!

There’s no doubt that today is a very exciting day for Disneyland fans who have been waiting to visit a theme park since March of last year. So, what do the crowds actually look like? We have photos!

As of this writing, each date of A Touch of Disney is sold out, so regardless of which day you visit, you can expect the crowds to be pretty similar to what we experienced today!

It’s A Touch of Disney day!

A Touch of Disney tickets sold out within a day, so even though there is limited capacity to comply with social distancing and other health and safety measures, it is a popular event for Disneyland locals! However, when we walked through Downtown Disney before lining up, it was pretty empty.

We arrived at the gates quite a while before the event began, but there were already quite a few people lined up outside!

By 11AM, the lines has grown a good amount. However, this is not nearly as busy as we were expecting! Plus, each party is spaced out by a distancing marker making the lines look longer than they truly are.

11 AM Crowds

We had major Frozen vibes when we walked through the gates though, because we finally got to enter the park for the first time in forever!!! But there were still barely any crowds to be seen.

Where are all the people?

The crowds were dispersed all over the park, leaving plenty of room for guests to roam.

Just about everywhere we went, we could stay more than 6 feet away from other groups.

Orange County is currently in the red tier, so indoor shopping is allowed to be at 50% capacity, but we often walked through empty shops.

Bing Bong’s Sweet Stuff

We saw several characters around the park, and still, the crowds stayed very spread out.

If you want to take pictures at each of the photo-ops, you’re in luck! We barely ever saw a line for the many photo spots placed around the parks.
