It was recently announced that Disney would be closing 20% of its brick-and-mortar retail stores.

The Walt Disney Company made this decision to shift business focuses onto e-commerce, as many consumer insights suggested a preference for online shopping. Following the initial announcement, it was shared that more details were to come in the future, and now we have an update regarding the closures.Â
Over on shopDisney, Disney’s merchandise site, you can now see which stores will be closing by using the site’s store locator. When searching the location of a specific Disney store, it will indicate whether or not that store is closing on the map. If it’s marked with a red Mickey, that means it will be closing.

Additionally, a notice comes up letting you know that the location will be closing on or before March 23rd, which is only a couple of weeks away.

On the site, you can see the list of stores that will be closing throughout the United States and in Canada as well. Currently, the closures will be taking place across 16 states.

Using the store locator, you can determine if any Disney stores near you will be affected by the closures. Disney said that after the initial group of closures, they would determine if more locations would be closed, so it’s possible that more will be added to this list.
