Sneak Peek of Disney’s ‘The Proud Family’ Reboot Characters

If you’re a big fan of The Proud Family then you’re probably eagerly awaiting ANY news about the Proud Family reboot coming to Disney+ called The Proud Family: Louder & Prouder!

The reboot was announced early last year, and so far we’ve gotten a peek at one of the show’s new characters. But, other than that, we really haven’t seen too many updates. Well, wait no more! Disney has shared a peek at what your favorite Proud Family characters look like now and we’re sharing it all with you!

Ready? Let’s dive in! First up we’ve got Penny Proud. Here’s what Penny looked like before.

And here’s what she looks like now!

Penny is (of course) the center of the stories in the show, and now is 14 years old.  According to Buzzfeed, Penny is now in high school and “dealing with everything from social media to social causes.”

Penny’s siblings, CeCe and BeBe are now 3 years old.

They can speak, but it’s all gibberish!

Trudy Proud, Penny’s mom, is now the owner of her own business — Trudy’s Pet Ambulance.

According to BuzzFeed, Oscar Proud, Penny’s dad, is “finally finding success with his Proud Snacks.” The executive producers of the show — Bruce W. Smith and Ralph Farquhar describe him as Penny’s “overbearing” dad who is now “more overbearing than ever!”

Penny’s uncle, Uncle Bobby, continues to be Suga Mama’s favorite son! And it looks like he’s gotten a whole new look now too.

Suga Mama, Penny’s grandma is described as the “Truth Teller” of the family. According to BuzzFeed, Suga Mama is now all about living life to the fullest and she’s got a BIG bucket list of things she wants to accomplish.

Oh, and Suga Mama’s dog Puff is still around too, and looking as fluffy as ever.

There’s also Papi, Suga Mama’s “unwitting boyfriend,” who is the father of Felix, LaCienega’s dad. LaCienega and Penny are still VERY much frenemies.

Zoey Howzer is still one of Penny’s friends and according to BuzzFeed is now a big fan of marching band.

Dijonay Jones is Penny’s loyalest friend and is now head cheerleader and an all-star debater in high school.

And of course there’s Maya, the new kid on the block.

The executive producers of the show shared that they’re still in the middle of production but they can’t wait to share what all of these characters have been up to. We’ll definitely keep you up to date as we get more details about this upcoming show!
