NEWS: ESPN+ and Hulu Both Got BIG Boosts in Subscribers

Disney has taken a big leap into the world of entertainment streaming in the past few years!

Their services Hulu, ESPN+, and Disney+ have been incredibly popular, prompting the company to focus more on streaming in the future. We saw that focus shift especially with the announcement of TONS of new projects at their Virtual Investors Day event. Now, we’ve got more information on just how successful those streaming services are!

Today is Disney’s Q1 earnings call, and in the information sent out before the call, we learned more about current subscriber numbers for the streaming platforms.

Disney+ now has 94.9 million subscribers, which is nearly four times the amount they had at this time last year. ESPN+ is up to 12.1 million, an increase of 83% from last year, and Hulu has 39.4 million, an increase of 30%. These are also higher numbers than we heard a few months ago at Investors Day.
