Whether you’re posing with Walt Disney by Cinderella’s Castle at Magic Kingdom or Roy Disney at the entrance of Magic Kingdom, these two beloved statues mark the impact that the two brothers had in creating the Disney Parks we know and love today.

And, now there will be another location in the U.S. to snap a picture with Walt Disney.
In July 2020, President Trump signed an Executive Order on Building the National Garden of American Heroes. Today, a second order was signed with more direction and detail, including who would be receiving statues. Included amongst the names is Walt Disney.

Each individual was “chosen for embodying the American spirit of daring and defiance, excellence and adventure, courage and confidence, loyalty and love.”
The National Garden will “reflect the greatness and goodness of America” and will be a place to gather and renew their vision and belief in the country. Walt joins a long list of heroes all chosen for “embodying the American spirit of daring and defiance, excellence and adventure, courage and confidence, loyalty and love.”

The order noted that the National Garden would be available for public access prior to July 4th, 2026, the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence. We will continue to keep you updated with any further details!
