Last summer, the National Basketball League became the newest residents of Disney World when the “NBA Bubble” took place to resume the 2020 regular season at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex.
It now looks like a professional basketball bubble league will return this year, but with a slight twist.
NBA writer and analyst Shams Charania shared on Twitter that the “NBA G League will play its 2021 season in a bubble environment at Disney World near Orlando in February.”

The NBA G League is the official minor league basketball organization. So, we won’t watch the Los Angeles Lakers or the Orlando Magic take up residency at Disney’s Beach Club Resort or Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort this time around!
We’ll keep an eye on any “bubble league” developments happening in Disney World, just like we did last summer!
