Here comes trouble! Our favorite mischievous alien is about to CRASH all our favorite Disney movies…again!
Lilo and Stitch was promoted with a series of commercials where Stitch made mayhem in other Disney movies. We saw Stitch ride a wave into The Little Mermaid and interrupt Aladdin and Jasmine’s romantic carpet ride. Disney is celebrating the sneaky guy by making him “crash” movie merchandise every month this year. Let’s take a look at the first victim of Stitch’s chaos!
The first collection will feature Stitch crashing Beauty and the Beast. The film will celebrate its 30th anniversary this year and naturally, Stitch is stealing the spotlight! The commercial in 2002 featured Stitch swinging from the ballroom and literally crashing near Belle and the Beast. He’s at it again with a themed plush, pins, and a MagicBand!
Shoppers will need to register for the MerchPass in order to purchase items from the new collection. After registration, you will enter a drawing and if chosen, will be given a designated time to log on and purchase your items. The Beauty and the Beast release date is January 12, 2021 at 7AM PT. The collection will then be released in Disney stores on January 16th!
Film-inspired t-shirts and mugs will also be available for a limited time on the Thursday after each MerchPass release date on shopDisney. MerchPass registration for the first collection is not available right now, but will most likely be open soon!
