If you loved Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, then we’re sure you were thrilled to learn back in February of this year that a Rogue One prequel series is coming to Disney+!
We recently got some exciting info about a new actor who will be joining the cast of this series.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, actress Adria Arjona will be joining the cast of the Rogue One prequel series. Arjona is known for her role in 6 Underground on Netflix and has an upcoming role in Morbius — a movie based on a character from the Marvel Comics.
Arjona will be joining actors Diego Luna (Cassian Andor) and Alan Tudyk (K-2SO) in this new Rogue One series. Earlier this year, actors Stellan Skarsgard and Kyle Foller were also in final talks to appear in the spin-off.
Tony Gilroy is reportedly attached to do some directing and write for the series, and Stephen Schiff is set as the series’ showrunner.
Production on the series was “temporarily derailed” due to the pandemic, but we’re excited to see what becomes of this show once it moves back into production and ultimately gets released on Disney+. Will it become a fan-favorite like The Mandalorian? We certainly hope so!
