Disney has had to make a lot of tough choices about canceling different events around the parks, resorts, and cruise ships.
While Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, Oogie Boogie Bash, and Moonlight Magic have all been suspended this year, the cruise line industry has been hit hard since closures back in March.
According to the Orlando Sentinel, cruises will continue to be halted through at least October 31st in accordance with guidelines from the Cruise Lines International Association. Although there had been a no-sail agreement through September 15th, the extension through October is a health and safety precaution for both employees and passengers.
Although the Disney Cruise Line hasn’t made an official announcement about the extended cancellations, we weren’t able to book a cruise on the website for October today after the new no-sail date was issued.
Since Disney has been issuing refunds or future credits to guests on previously canceled vacations, the cruise line will most likely be doing the same for the departures affected in September and October.
