ESPN is Preparing for the Return of Sports With a Two-Hour Special!

Several professional sports leagues are preparing to resume their seasons — including the NBA and MLS, who will both play at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex in Disney World.

As the return to play approaches, commissioners from six of the top American professional sports leagues will take part in a two-hour special coming to ESPN.

ESPN is set to host SportsCenter Special: The Return of Sports, a two-hour primetime special, in which professional sports commissioners discuss the return to competition. Expected participants include Adam Silver (NBA), Don Garber (MLS), Gary Bettman (NHL), Cathy Engelbert (WNBA), and Rob Manfred (MLB).

The show will be hosted by Mike Greenberg, who will speak with each league commissioner about their approach to resuming competition.

Topics will include health and safety measures, economic impacts, games without fans, the consequences of interrupted seasons, and potential long-term impacts. Participants will also discuss social justice reform efforts among professional sports leagues.

SportsCenter Special: The Return of Sports will air on ESPN on Monday, June 15th at 9PM ET.
