Disney Springs has continued its phased reopening, with Disney-owned stores and restaurants reopening for guests today!

From long lines and virtual queues, we’re breaking down everything we saw at the first day back for these Disney Springs locations!
Perhaps the most hotly anticipated store reopening was World of Disney, the massive Disney superstore.

Immediately upon arriving, it was clear that World of Disney was the place to be at Disney Springs. Instead of the quiet Disney Springs we had seen for the past week, the crowd levels were far bigger for the complex’s second phase of reopening today.

The World of Disney store had a massive line that started far prior to its 10AM opening time. Guests waited in line on taped markers that enforced physical distancing between each party.

Once you get to the front of the line, Cast Members were on hand to take your name and phone number. You’ll receive a text ten to fifteen minutes before it’s time for you to return to the store for your turn to browse.

Checking in a little after 9AM, the wait was already estimated at approximately three hours.

Another store implementing the virtual queue was the Marketplace Co-Op, which also was experiencing large wait times.

Once inside the World of Disney Store, you’ll notice a variety of signs asking to help maintain physical distancing from others guests.

The registers have also been given an update, with spaced markers in line, and plexiglass barriers at each of the registers.

One of the collections we were most excited to see at World of Disney were the Minnie Mouse: The Main Attraction collections, which sold out quickly when they launched on shopDisney. At the store, they only had the Mad Tea Party collection from March, and Pirates of the Caribbean collection from February.

By the time we got to the store, all had completely sold out except for the Pirates of the Caribbean Minnie Mouse Plush.

One hugely noteworthy addition at Disney Springs today was over by the Ever After store, where we spotted stormtroopers hanging out on the balcony with First Order banners!

While we’re not sure if this is a temporary addition just for the day, or if they will be hanging out for longer, we were certainly excited to see the two stormtroopers out and about.
