Due to the current global health crisis, many cruise lines have been forced to suspend itineraries for the time being.

Currently, the Disney Cruise Line has announced a suspension of trips throughout June, with some itineraries even cancelled into early July. Today, another cruise line, Carnival Cruise, announced that they would begin a return to limited sailings later this summer.
According to the Orlando Sentinel, Carnival Cruise Line has announced that they will be resuming some cruises starting August 1st, “including sailing from Florida’s Port Canaveral and PortMiami.”

The resumption of sailings will be limited, using only eight of Carnival Cruise Line’s 27 ships. Starting in August, three of their ships will sail out of PortMiami, with an additional three from the port in Galveston, Texas.
The resumption of service will feature only eight ships in the line’s 27-ship fleet, including Carnival Breeze and Carnival Elation out of Port Canaveral.
Carnival Horizon, Carnival Magic and Carnival Sensation will sail out of PortMiami and the port in Galveston, Texas, will also see three ships sailing, Carnival Dream, Carnival Freedom and Carnival Vista.
At this time, there has been no new announcement regarding sailings from Disney Cruise Line. Aside from their cancellations through July, the CDC also extended their 100-day long “no-sail” order in April.
We will continue to keep you updated on any new developments from the cruise industry, including Disney Cruise Line.
