The Play Disney Parks app adds a cool interactive element to many locations within Disney parks — whether you’re answering trivia in the line for Peter Pan’s Flight, or translating Aurubesh in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge!

Now, the app has a new feature that uses augmented reality and a physical QR code to bring Mickey Mouse to life once you return home from your trip — just one more way that Mickey can say, “See ya real soon!”
Essentially, once you return home from a 3-night+ stay at a Disney Resort hotel in 2020, you’ll receive a letter in the mail that thanks you for your visit. If you scan the QR code on the letter, Mickey will come to life.

This is done using augmented reality, so it will look like Mickey is standing right in front of you. Check out a preview of the effect in the video below!
