Do you know what’s really romantic? That thing from Lady and the Tramp with the long spaghetti and the accordion music. Do you know what else is really romantic? A Disney Cruise!
Disney is offering a special promotion on Disney Cruises booked now through Valentine’s Day, but… well, we hesitate to call it a deal.
We pride ourselves on being independent here at All Ears. As much as we love Disney, our number one concern is always you, dear reader.
That’s why it is our solemn duty to tell you that this Disney Cruise Line promotion… won’t actually save you any money.
Here’s how it works: if you book a 4-night or longer Disney Cruise set to sail between June 20th, 2020 through May 21st, 2021, you can take 50% off the required deposit. You just need to make your booking before February 14th. The offer is good on basically any cruise Disney offers, provided you don’t need to make the full payment at the time of booking.
But, as we said, it doesn’t actually save you money. This isn’t a 50% discount. It’s a 50% deferment. You still need to pay the full deposit amount before you board, in addition to all other taxes and fees.
It’s still a good promotion, however. It lets you schedule a cruise through next year for only a fraction of the usual cost, putting these cruises in reach without requiring a loan or an overstretched budget. It’s just not a discount. Don’t book a cruise under the assumption that you’re getting a huge deal because you might end up disappointed.
If you’re uncertain whether a cruise is right for you, our friends at MEI Travel can help you navigate the confusing maze of discounts and promotions. You don’t even need to pay. Just ask them for a free quote, and they’ll figure out the best possible deal.
