This past summer, Disney announced the newest ship to come to the Disney Cruise Line, the Disney Wish!
To prepare for the upcoming ship, Disney shared they’ll be making some changes to one of their terminals in Port Canaveral!
Port Canaveral Cruise Terminal 8 will be shutting down for about five months, from June 2020 through the end of October 2020, to undergo an extensive renovation project.
It sounds like the renovations will be quite extensive, and will include “demolition, a new curtain wall, seating replacement, ticket counters removal, IT infrastructure replacement, the extension of the drop-off canopy, and the installation of some structural steel.”
The closure won’t affect any sailings, though, as Cruise Terminal 10 will serve as a replacement during the time period. We’re excited to see the work done, and cannot wait to sail the Disney Wish in 2022 or 2023!
