Sofia the First appears on the Disney Junior show “Sofia the First,” which debuted in January 2013 . Sofia is simply a regular young girl until her mother marries a King and she becomes a princess. Follow her journey as she learns the ways of royalty.

Sofia the First made a special appearance at the D23 Expo August 2013. In this video she dances and shows off her dress.
You can Meet Sofia the First at the Disney’s Hollywood Studios in the Disney Junior Area of the Animation Courtyard. Since this is her first Meet and Greet opportunity at Walt Disney World, arrive early and don’t be surprised by lines.

Nice introduction for Sofia the First! She has become very popular in a short period of time especially among the younger children, nowadays being one of the most appreciated Disney character, and also a role model for lot of kids! It will surely awake sweet memories over the years to the ones which are already appreciating her!
Great to finally see Sofia make it to both Walt Disney World and Disneyland. We met up with her at Disney California Adventure in August and then later in Walt Disney World (she is quite the jet setter!). Considering that Sofia has been a princess for barely a year, it is amazing how far she has come and so fast. Good on her and thanks to Disney for bringing her to the parks!
Will Sofia be on any of the Disney cruises soon?
DebK answers: We haven’t heard anything about her joining the cruise line yet, sorry.
She’s absolutely adorable, but has anyone encountered any issues with the little ones being surprised/disappointed/etc that she’s 6ft tall, and that a smaller person isn’t portraying her? Also curious – does she speak during the meet and greet like other princesses or is she silent?
AllEars: Sofia is silent
This is so exciting! Also, I wanted to let you know that Sofia is spelled with an “f” and not “ph”. Thanks again for the news!
AllEars: EEEK Thanks!
That’s awesome! My girls love her, but were quick to point out that you’ve misspelled her name. It should be Sofia, not Sophia.
AllEars: Oops, corrected, thanks.
