Disney Pic of the Week – Winter Holidays

Light Meter by Lisa K. Berton

Right now it’s snowing, the wind is blowing, and there’s over eight inches of snow accumulated on the driveway. I just tried clicking my heels together 3 times and saying “There’s no place like home,” and wound up standing in front of my house freezing my tush off. Clearly, that plan backfired.

There are many, many holidays that take place during Winter months. People celebrate everything from groundhogs to presidents to my birthday with many, many other special events inbetween.

The greatest New Year’s Eve I ever spent was at Disneyland ringing in 2003 with my friends. By telling ourselves it was going to be packed and not to be disappointed if we didn’t get on more than a ride or two but to just enjoy the night and each other’s company, we had THE best time ever. Not only did we manage to get in several attractions, we had a nice dinner, visited both parks and stayed up till 1am (or later) which is a major feat if you know my friend Yoli.

I don’t have any fancy pictures to share with you from that night as all I took with me was my infamous $12 purple 35mm camera. Here we are, girls just having fun.

Cast Members handed out party hats, noise makers, and balloons to guests. I brought my own beads which I got in New Orleans Square from musicians on previous trips.

Happy New Year!!!
