Tangaroa Terrace Closing for Refurbishment
Posted onThe Tangaroa Terrace restaurant at the Disneyland Hotel will be closed for refurbishment beginning September 4, 2018 and is expected to reopen mid-January 2019. Select menu offerings will be available at Trader Sam's Enchanted Tiki Bar and The Coffee House during this time.

Polynesian Reverts to Original Name; Gets New Look, Lounge
Posted onThe Polynesian Resort will revert to its original 1971 name, The Polynesian Village Resort Hotel, as it continues a multi-year re-imagining with the renovation of its guest rooms, the resort's feature pool and its centerpiece Great Ceremonial House. The "Poly" also plans to add Trader Sam's Grog Grotto with a highly themed lounge area featuring tiki cocktails and Polynesia-themed small plates. It will be based on the popular themed lounge at the Disneyland Hotel in Anaheim, Calif.

Posted onFriday night we had dinner at Ralph Brennan's Jazz Kitchen in Downtown Disney. We don't eat here very often, and I don't really know why, because we always look at the menu and have a hard time choosing - there are so many things that look good! I had made a priority seating for 8:00, and we were quickly seated at an outdoor table on the ground floor right against the railing, so we had a great spot to people-watch those going by.
