Festival of Fantasy Parade – Maleficent

Details are slowly emerging about the new Magic Kingdom Parade called Festival of Fantasy, which will debut this spring. The new parade celebrates Fantasyland and the floats bring to life characters that can be found in Sleeping Beauty, Peter Pan, The Little Mermaid, and Tangled.

New details about Magic Kingdom’s upcoming Festival of Fantasy Parade

The Magic Kingdom's "Celebrate a Dream Come True Parade" wrapped up a five-year run on Saturday, making way for a brand-new daytime parade to come this year. The "Festival of Fantasy Parade" is expected to debut in the spring. Recently, I had the opportunity to talk with Disney about the new parade. "There are a lot of new floats that have been designed after New Fantasyland opened [in 2012]," the Disney rep said. "So a lot of the stories that have come alive there will come alive on the floats throughout the Magic Kingdom."

Festival of Fantasy Parade Coming to Magic Kingdom in 2014

Walt Disney World President George Kalogridis announced Friday, April 26, that a new daytime parade, the Disney Festival of Fantasy Parade, will debut in the Magic Kingdom in spring 2014. (This will replace the current Celebrate the Magic daytime parade.) The Disney Festival of Fantasy Parade will bring the magical stories of New Fantasyland to Main Street, U.S.A., through fantastic and innovative new parade floats, vibrant costumes, and an original soundtrack that will feature beloved songs from favorite Disney films, plus a new parade theme song.
