Review of Space Mountain -- WDW

We always make it a point to ride the chiropractic adjustment called Space Mountain whenever we are at MK. I don't know if it's just me, or this thing has gotten "shakier" year after year. Man, I had forgotten how much you get jostled riding this ride. But....overall it's fine and nostalgic and you just have to ride it.

Pros:

Tradition, a must ride.

Cons:

very shakey...rumor has it, this ride will loosen kidney stones. Be loose and don't tense up.

My wife and I loved this ride and we always have a little competition when we ride it. Little did she know that I have been watching ALLEars Vids and she hasn't!!! So....I knew how to get the high scores (to be fair, I did tell her about the high-point places to shoot at before we got on the ride..didn't want to be "that guy"). Anyway, always fun and didn't wait a long time because we had a LL. Definitely recommend.

Pros:

Always fun, especially when you are in competition.

Review of Polynesian Deluxe Studios (Disney Vacation Club)

Just stayed at the Poly for the first time! Was in a Deluxe studio for 3 nights in January. Can't wait to stay again. Its always been a dream to stay at the Poly, and the lush groundskeeping, beautiful rooms, and ample food and drink options did not disappoint. DVC room was HUGE, 2 bathrooms would be great for a family. We enjoyed our balcony as well. We LOVED Trader Sam's and were able to go multiple nights without issue getting on the waitlist. Especially with the opening of Poly Island tower, the addition of another restaurant and bar, pool, hot tub, and fitness center make the Poly an even better choice. We were in Moorea building and the walk to great ceremonial house was 5 minutes or less, we were also less than a minute walk to the TTC! Location is truly A+ here! Coffee bar in the lobby was good and we enjoyed breakfast at Kona Cafe. Quick service at Captain Cooks is also not half bad. We took the boat over to MK one morning which was lovely. One of my favorite memories is watching the fireworks from the beach! Overall, I highly recommend a stay at The Polynesian, it truly feels like a resort experience!

Pros:

Location, access to TTC, boats, etc. Many food and beverage options. Beautiful resort.

Cons:

Pool can feel crowded, but now with Island Tower it may be less so.

Review of Pop Century Resort (Value Resort)

Honestly, I'll always be a Pop Century gal! I have stayed here multiple times, most recently in October 2024. The larger than life theming is fun and brings the magic back from the park with you. Room re-theme a couple of years ago drastically helped it feel more modern and updated. Skyliner access is obviously a highlight of Pop that makes it stand out, but even so, I will choose Pop over AoA anyday. I love the theme and energy. Quick service options get the job done.

Pros:

Skyliner access, fun atmosphere

Cons:

No sit-down dining options or slides.

Review of Riviera Resort

The Riviera has become my favorite place to splurge for a luxurious stay. There is just enough Disney theming and touches that keep you in the magic. The lobby scent is incredible, I could sit in there all day. I think the location of this resort with skyliner access and a bus system that I never find crowded helps it stand out along with its beautiful grounds and ample dining experiences. In my opinion, Le Petite Cafe has the best coffee in DW. As far as quick service goes, Primo Piatto is a great option and has very yummy food. Bar Riva has additional yummy food options and amazing drinks. Topolino's is a treat and worth going at least once during your stay. The grounds and views here from the pool, Caribbean Beach, and tile mosaic are beautiful.

Pros:

Dining options, luxury and modern vibes, skyliner access.

Cons:

May not be as heavily 'Disney themed' as young families with kids may prefer.

So glad I made a reservation here! Our family enjoyed the food, the atmosphere, & the friendly wait staff. Such a nice break from the crowded park. Our favorite dishes: Arrancini(fried risotto balls) & Quattro Formaggi pizza. We felt that the prices were a little more reasonable than some of the other sit down restaurants in Epcot.

Pros:

Great food, friendly wait staff

Review of Crystal Palace Breakfast

Starting our Magic Kingdom Day with breakfast at the Crystal Palace has now become a tradition in our family. Three generations sit down together & enjoy the wonderful service, beautiful atmosphere and delicious food before dispersing into the park for the day. The characters took a lot of time when they visited our table. They were super sweet & gentle with our 5 yr old & 7 month old grandsons and we are thrilled with the special memories/photos. This experience is worth every penny to us! Tip: Get a reservation for before the park opens, if you can.

Pros:

Great character interaction, delicious food, wonderful service

Cons:

Can't think of one

Review of Boardwalk Inn (Deluxe Resort)

We stayed at the Boardwalk Inn for the 2nd time in November, 2024. Our 1st visit had been back in 2006 -- that visit was a truly magical stay and a wonderful memory for us. I'm sorry to say our latest visit left us disappointed. Our room was on a lower level, facing a pretty courtyard. The location meant we had to take 2 elevators and a staircase to get out to the Boardwalk Bakery/drink refill station. The room itself was spacious, but had no furniture other than 2 queen beds and a small pull out sofa, which my grandson was using as a bed. There were no chairs in the room, no table. Also, no rug on the floor, which looked and felt like cheap laminate. Our room was close to the elevator and we could hear the "ding" continually, as well as the conversation of all guests in the hallway/elevator area. I know that Disney now calls their mini fridges "beverage coolers," but they should call them "barely coolers." The half and half I purchased for my morning coffee spoiled. There were exactly 2 coffee pods provided. The main areas of the hotel are still beautiful. The pool & Boardwalk activities are still fun. The location is still sublime. However, we paid through the nose for a room we weren't even comfortable in. For my money, Port Orleans Riverside is a nicer resort.

Pros:

Location, Boardwalk Activities, Pool

Cons:

Disappointing room, tedious hike to refill station
