Review of Tusker House Lunch and Dinner Buffet

Tusker House is an excellent buffet in the Walt Disney Resort arsenal. We had a later reservation, but found ourselves an hour early (hunger and heat!) and asked if we could bump up. No problem and we were seated in 5 minutes. Waitress was a bit off, and kept forgetting our drinks (we were able to ask another waiter).

Food selection is great and there is something for everyone. Not a five star menu, but very tasty.

Seating is tight, and we ended up basically sitting with another family, which is fine, this is Disney right??? Characters come around for photo ops and autographs (so much better than standing in line in the heat)

Highly recommend, especially if you are on the dining plan. We tend to hit as many All you Can Eat as possible.

Pros:

Tons of choices, opportunity to try different tastes, characters, chefs handle allergies exceptionally

Cons:

noisy, crowded seating, wait stuff was VERY busy

This is our hidden jewel of the Quick Service at Epcot. Delicious wraps, cool salads. Wait staff was extremely helpful and even gave us fries as a "desert" since nothing they had was peanut free. Only downside is the limited indoor seating (with no air). But compared to several other Quick Service in Epcot lands with no covered seating, this is a step up! Highly recommend giving this a shot if you are wandering around looking for a taste of something a little different!

Pros:

Delicious food, wonderful wait staff

Cons:

No air conditioned seating.

Review of Roaring Fork

Roaring Fork is a TINY restaurant that serves up GREAT food. We had lunch and dinner (same menu) and our family of 4 never had a bad bite. Great options for deserts (and even fruit or salad if you want to get healthy). You order and pay and they deliver your food to your table (inside or out) which is great (don't have to just stand around waiting for your order)

Really only downside is the very small and cramped size, and the horrible location of the drink fountains (both corners) which make getting soda refills very difficult and frustrating for everyone.

Highly recommend for a quality Quick Service meal!

Pros:

Sandwiches are excellent (get the chips instead of fries!), they bring your food to your table

Cons:

TINY!!!! Can be a decent wait to pay. Tough to refill drinks with stations in the corners

The last time I ate here, I had the taco salad, which when fixed up from the toppings bar, was good. This time, no taco salad and a pared down toppings bar with no hot cheese. I wasn't starving and thought the kids grilled cheese sounded good. Except that it was a slice of American cheese melted between a goldfish thin bun. Not great. At all. The grapes and carrots it came with were good and a nice change of pace from fries. The best part of my visit was a big scoop of sautéed mushrooms from the toppings bar. It's a convenient location but there are definitely better places to eat at the Magic Kingdom.

Pros:

Location

Cons:

Food, crowds

Stayed 4 nights (8/10/15 - 8/14/15) before moving to Yacht Club for 4 nights. Loved the refurbished food court and new choices! Check in was easy, the cast member was cheerful and funny. Used gift cards to pay down room charges daily, each cast member was great!! Disappointed with no towel animals from mousekeeping... Busses were quick, pool was warm and food was great. Our 4th time staying at Music.

Pros:

Price, Food Court

Cons:

Noise

Arrived on back 1/2 of vacation after 4 nights at All Star Music. Was suprised with upgrade from Std. View to Water view. Ended up with view of both EPCOT and H/S fireworks,as well as the Boardwalk lights. We lost A/C and Hot Water when a nasty storm rolled through, but room stayed comfortable with balcony door open. Many were complaining and wanting something free... A little far from the pool, but not too bad. One thing was the lack of a digital thermostat, which made it a little tough to keep the room comfortable (AS Music had digital). We have stayed at Beach Club before, but the discount was bigger at Y/C. I was worried because it seemed stuffy compared to Beach Club. It was quieter, but not stuffy at all. Staff was great. No towel animals from mousekeeping though...

Pros:

Decor, Access to EPCOT and Hollywood Studios

Cons:

Lost Air & Hot Water due to storm, Thermostat

My family had breakfast here in August. My DH had the Tonga Toast and my daughters and I all had the Big Kahuna (eggs, bacon, sausage, potatoes, french toast and pancakes). In addition, my daughters raved about the Lilikoi'i juice and my DH and I had the French press Kona Coffee. Everything was beyond wonderful. This was one of the meals we had during our stay. We will definitely be back.

Pros:

Beautiful setting and Yummy food and Kona Coffee

My family stayed at Port Orleans in August 2015. We have stayed on WDW property for the past nine years and have tried many different resorts including the Contemporary, Beach Club and Art of Animation Family Suites, but this place is truly our home away from home. From Boatwrights, to the food court, to the Boat rides to Downtown Disney, this resort is truly Disney's hidden treasure.

Pros:

Beautifully themed resort; Royal Rooms, Fabulous Pool, Landscaping and Customer Service

My family has visited WDW for the past nine years and Cali Grill has always been a favorite place to go for a nice evening out. However, the past couple of years, the menu selection and quality of the food has declined drastically. In fact, when my family and I rated our favorite meals during this past stay, Cali Grill did not even make the top five. The only saving grace was the location of the restaurant, fireworks and the excellent customer service. Note to Chefs, check out The Boathouse because the food quality and selection is what Cali Grill used to be.

Pros:

Beautiful setting.

Cons:

The selection and quality of the food has declined

Review of BOATHOUSE

Based on the All Ears posting on this new DD Restaurant, my family could not wait to try The Boathouse. Oh my goodness, we were not disappointed. My DH and I shared the Porterhouse for two and it was the best steak we had in years. In addition, eight of us shared the Baked Alaska for four. Trust me when I say that the Baked Alaska is probably enough for 12 people. Finally, the service was impeccable. I don't think our water glasses were ever less than half-filled. This is my new favorite Disney restaurant and is what Cali Grill used to be years ago.

Pros:

Fabulous Steaks and the Baked Alaska; Wonderful Service
