The system is good but could use some adjustments. We vacationed here in May, staying at the Boardwalk Villas. We were thrilled to hear before we left that they now have buses strictly for the Boardwalk and you no longer have to share with the Swan and Dolphin resorts. That is not completely true. Depending on where you are going or coming from, you still have to share with the Swan and Dolphin. So it can take up to 2 hours to get back to the resort. The other complaint is with the water parks. 2 years ago when we were there, Animal Kingdom shared a bus with Blizzard Beach and Downtown Disney shared with Typhoon Lagoon. Now, for Blizzard Beach you have to take a bus to Animal Kingdom and switch buses and then do the same on the return. It makes no sense since they have to pass Blizzard Beach to get to and from Animal Kingdom. The same for Typhoon Lagoon. You have to take a bus to Disney Springs and switch. Why don't they just have buses that run between the 2 water parks??? I know a lot of people leaving AK or DS don't want to sit on wet seats.

Pros:

Not needing a car

Cons:

Not consistant

Review of Whispering Canyon Cafe Lunch/Dinner

Service was attentive and excellent. The refillable milkshakes very enjoyed by the kids. Most of the table ordered the canyon skillet which was very plentiful and tasty. Our teenage son was quite full. We took our desserts to go because we were too full. Entertainment in the restaurant was an added plus-our 3 year old enjoyed the horse sticks through the restaurant and our older kids enjoyed a good laugh with the ketchup comedy. Overall a great meal experience.

food/service

Stayed here to save money-had been here in the past. Room décor was very standard-got rid of Disney themed bed linens. Was great for sleep and shower but nothing extraordinary. A/C in room worked great especially since weather was warm and humid. Mousekeeping was standard-nothing special. Stayed in 50's building by the lake which was very quiet. Kids enjoyed the pool and pool bar was very good. Food court-very standard-could use some upgrading. Ate at Art of Animation which was much better.

Pros:

value

Cons:

standard room decor

One of our best food experiences during our trip the week of June 12th. The following was ordered by our party of 7:
2 steak entrees
chicken parm
penne with vodka sauce and shrimp
the special-pork tenderloin saltimbocca
kids pizza
kids penne with meatballs
I had the penne with vodka and shrimp-best I've ever ate and ended a meal with the cannoli dessert-3 small ones-perfect ending to a great meal. The rest of the table raved over their food and the rest ordered the sample dessert combo. Overall a great experience. Service was pleasant as well.

Excellent food and service. We most especially enjoyed the jambalaya. Characters came around quickly and spent ample time with all four of the kids. This was our 5th visit here and it never disappoints. Overall great experience and highly recommend.

Review of Boulder Ridge Villas at Disney's Wilderness Lodge (Disney Vacation Club)

We just returned from a week stay in a two bedroom villa. The villa was roomy, comfortable, and beautiful. We were very close to the bus stops, and not far from the main lobby. Unfortunately Roaring Forks was not open, so our main quick service option was Geyser Point. It was okay, but a fairly limited menu. The main pool was not terribly interesting, and I guess I expected it to be better. The newest pool opened the last night we were there, so we did not get to check it out. We had no problems with transportation, and had great experiences with the cast members there.

Pros:

Beautiful and Roomy

Cons:

Main pool is a little blah

We were fairly surprised we enjoyed eating here. Every one in my party thought the inside was cute, and found the menu to have something for everyone. Our server was extremely helpful and friendly. We were on the dining plan and she suggested we do the Fantasmic dinner package, so we could all enjoy appetizers. I had not really considered this option, and took her up on her suggestion. My only complaint is the desserts are not terribly interesting, but for good, basic Italian food, we all really enjoyed it! I would have no problems returning!

Pros:

Good food and Good Service

Cons:

desserts

Review of 'Ohana Best Friends Character Breakfast

The food was fairly basic, nothing special. Scrambled eggs, Mickey Waffles, microwave bacon, sausage, and potatoes.
We all enjoyed the fruit platter and the bread. Juice and Coffee were also excellent. We were not really worried about seeing the characters, but there were a few tables around us that had young kids that did not get to have the character interactions that I'm sure they were expecting. We saw Pluto, and that was it. We used our dining plan, but the price seemed a little steep for a basic meal and hit or miss with the characters. Our server was very nice.

Pros:

fresh fruit, good coffee and juice

Cons:

Characters did not get around to our section

We stayed for a week at the Villas, and ate here twice. We had one slightly picky eater in our group, and she had a tougher time finding something that sounded good. The rest of us enjoyed the food we ordered. It does has a limited amount of seating though, which could be frustrating. Roaring Forks was not open during our stay, so this was the main quick service option.

Pros:

Beautiful setting, friendly service, good food

Cons:

Limited selection and seating
