The food here was excellent, we have been saying we would try it for years & finally did. The food was just incredible, I had the Korean beef & my son Had Korean ribs. My husband had the seafood dish, we all really enjoyed our meals. The theming was great.

Pros:

the food & service

Review of Cinderella's Royal Table Breakfast

I had heard many times that you don't go to this restaurant for the food. You are paying for the experience. However, I was pleasantly surprised! The pastries were quite good. I would not typically order steak at breakfast but I was determined to try to get my money's worth so I ordered the Beef Tenderloin and Egg and it was VERY good! Would get it again for sure. My husband had the traditional breakfast which was fine but that is an awful lot of money to pay for bacon and eggs. The princesses came around and signed autographs and took pictures...we did not feel rushed. My daughter loved it. A very good experience.

Pros:

Great way to see many princesses and great to experience the castle

Cons:

Pricey

I wish I could give this more stars. Our previous visits were wonderful. This time however was very much not. We were told at the hostess stand a table would be ready in minutes, but it turned out to be more like 15 minutes while we stood outside in the hot sun. Once finally inside, our waitress Maria took our order and we never saw her again until almost the end of the meal. We wanted to order more but after sitting for 15-20 minutes with empty dishes and wine glasses I went to the hostess stand to ask if they could find our waitress. Knowing others were probably waiting outside like we did I told them we'd like to check out and they could have an open table. They just flippantly pointed across the restaurant and said she was in the back. 5 minutes later I flagged down the manager (I think) who just shrugged and said "she's over there" He must have rethought his attitude a little bit as he eventually went and got her. After about 30 minutes we finally got our bill and she almost ran off again without taking our card. We were so flustered from trying to get someone to actually take our money that we didn't even realize we didn't get our DVC discount either. Very disappointing to watch other waitresses take care of tables around us while we sat with no service for over a half hour. No apologies were ever given. I've literally never been treated so rudely by a staff in any other restaurant in my life.

Pros:

it's air conditioned

Cons:

horrible service

Review of Nomad Lounge

A wonderful, relaxing experience with excellent service. Alexandra, at the Nomad Lounge was probably one of my favorite waitresses we had the entire trip. She was very friendly, answered our questions about the menu, gave good recommendations and even told us interesting facts and backstory after I commented how interesting the menu design was. She was very kind to our toddler and treated her just like another guest (something which I notice not all waiters do, often they ignore the children). I noticed too that she was equally efficient and friendly with all the other tables on the patio as well and her attitude really gave the entire place a happy, festive vibe. Seriously, she set such a nice environment that families on the patio started chatting with each other getting to know one another. Everyone was relaxed and taken care of, and it really made us add this to a favorite places list. We had the bread service, the wagyu sliders, the cheese plate, and the taste of tiffins dessert plate along with drinks. All were excellent. They are small portions, but it's a great place to try different flavors if you order a bunch and share.

Pros:

excellent food, top notch service, lovely view

I loved this little stop for several reasons. First, everyone in our party found something they wanted here, and that's a difficult task with nine people; everyone loved what they got. Second, there was ample seating available, and we didn't have any problems finding two tables. Third, and most important...FRIED GREEN TOMATO SANDWICHES! My daughter and I got the fried green tomato sandwich, and if we had gone to Hollywood Studios more than once this trip I probably would have gotten it again. Yummy! You should have no problems finding something to eat here if you like your standard fare of burgers and fries. We definitely recommend this spot.

Pros:

Fried green tomato sandwich!

The pizza was well flavored and crust crisp. The quality of pizza was very similar to same at the NY locations. The only thing I have to say on the downside is seating. While I don’t mind the long community like tables the seats are too tight together and more areas needed for people to sit. They need to expand this location to fit the need.

Pros:

Food,Speed,Cost

Cons:

Seating

My 4 year old daughter had a 8:00 AM reservation so that we could do this before our 10 AM breakfast reservation at Cinderella's Royal Table. We did not have to wait at all...she got done so fast we even had time to go over to Princess Fairytale Hall and meet all 4 princesses before breakfast! The makeover itself was wonderful. She chose a Tinkerbell dress and I expected to pay a fortune for it but it only cost $30. I've paid $25 at Target. She loved every minute and she looked absolutely adorable. The photographer in the Boutique was great...he captured so many wonderful shots! And the photo session afterward was great too...such great shots we never could have gotten ourselves. This is an expensive thing to do, but what a fun experience for our little one. Well worth it.

Pros:

Great experience

An interesting and challenging land to walk through. Some aspects seemed grotesque and creepy. My adult daughters loved the Flight of Passage. River Journey was colorful and a nice place to sit and cool down. We did not find the gift shop or restaurant particularly appealing. I am glad we got the sneak preview, but won't hurry back. I have not seen the movie, which might make a difference to enjoying Pandora more than I did.

Pros:

elaborate, unique theming

Cons:

no emotional connection for me

Review of Port Orleans French Quarter (Moderate Resort)

This is our 3rd stay here, 2nd with our children. Paid for the garden view hoping to get a close building but I knew it wasn't guaranteed. Received a text that we were placed in a building 7 garden view room. I was hoping we wouldn't be that far away! (I placed preferences for particular closer buildings). We called from the airport asking for a closer room just to take a chance, and they were so friendly. They placed us in building #2, which was so much closer. This is a small resort, yes, and the buildings are all very reasonably located but we love being close to the food court. The next time we will pay for the pool view.

The grounds are always so quiet and I feel at home here. You frequently see the horse making rounds in the evening with the carriage. I got to visit the original french quarter in NOLA this year and I have to say I LOVE the architecture at POFQ. It really did feel like the original, I especially love the horse head hitching posts.

The pool is nice. I have two small kids who are still learning to swim and we use the life jackets that are provided every time. ** I wish they had more extra or small vests available because I'd say 50% of the time we had to search for one that was not being used. The lifeguards are diligent and I am always impressed with their attention.

I hate to hear that some people don't like the busses because the last two trips we have been here we have had an exceptional experience with them (the first time was 2009 and it wasn't so great, long waits and drives to riverside).
There is only 1 bus stop but its never really bad. We leave in the morning at "busy times" too. I would say 90% of the time we waited less than 10 minutes. In the morning when it is busier, there is a cast member assisting with lines. One time we waited maybe 20 minutes for a bus and they gave us a fast pass for whatever we wanted (except froze of course) at epcot. I couldn't have asked for better service.

The food court, I miss the floats! I was excited about the renovation and I was okay with letting them go. I loved the decorations above BUT I felt like the fluer de lis that were spray painted on the floors made the floor look dirty especially near the garbage cans. I liked the nicer dishes used, and the fact that they are cutting down on waste by having them returned and washed. And there is a section for food to be composted. The mickey waffles were always soft and fresh. The section for the french toast and oatmeal, I just couldn't believe that there was only one person operation that section because there are a lot of duties involved with making the baguette french toast, etc. I think it would be better for the employee that does that section to have a little extra help.

The bus to disney springs and POR were very frequent.. my daughter and I rode to POR to check it out because I haven't been to it before. Very close and quick!

We will be back next year. I can't imagine staying anywhere else, even over the deluxes.

Pros:

small size, 1 bus stop, beautiful grounds, boat to POR and disney springs, fun pool

Cons:

food court design, need more staff at stations in morning

Review of Garden Grocer

From ordering on line to delivery, the service was great. After placing my order, I received a phone call within 10 minutes to confirm my order. I like you are able to choose a 4 hour delivery window. I chose the noon-4 pm delivery time. At 12:02 I received a text message stating my order had been delivered. When we returned to our resort, we were at bell services to request the order be brought to our room when I received a phone call making sure I received the text message and knew our order had been delivered. Every item we ordered (we ordered a lot since there were 7 adults staying for 10 days) was accounted for. Do not worry about ordering perishable items. The bell services area at the hotels all have refrigerators to hold those items. We will definitely use again. Yes the food is priced slightly higher but compared to having to rent a car for 10 days just to use it do grocery shopping we saved a lot of money. You can also save if you order ahead of time. They give discounts for ordering early.

Pros:

Great service!!!
