My sister, mother and I ate here on September 7. It was a lovely restaurant with great servers and really good food! We enjoyed ourselves at this restaurant it was one of our top places of our stay. We even met an Imagineer! He was there celebrating his birthday and we tried to send him a drink, which he declined but he came over to our table to thank us and signed our sketches. My sister and I had the striploin with braised short rib, it was yummo! Mom had the lamb chop, which she altered to fit her palate with no problems. Would return here anytime.

We loved this restaurant! The bread service is so worth the extra cost. It was wonderful. the butter chicken was melt in your mouth delicious. sister had the fish of the day which was one of the best of the week. Mom had steak, which she altered to fit her palate (plain) while she enjoyed it, it was not her favorite but she is not big on ethnic foods. Our server was knowledgeable and happy to help direct us. She made us feel special and well taken care of. I would return here today if I could!

On Tuesday October 11, 2016 my family of three and another of four sat down for what we had come to expect was a good show and food.
I am not one to complain but per our waiter a couple days prior the ribs were changed from on bone to off. We had five plates of ribs. Each rib was half fat. The waiter said he could not do anything about it. Very disappointed about the lack of quality rib meat and the waiter's attitude. So were others at other tables. We all compensated by eating the other items, we did not leave hungry.
The show was good as usual. We will go back. One time does not spoil years of experiences.
Pros:
Amount of food, the show and the view for watchingCons:

At first I did not want to rent a DVC property because of the unknowns of the people staying and operating the resort. Our 7 night stay was fantastic. Very relaxing atmosphere. We were two buildings from the pool, lobby and bus station. This was perfect. The attention to details wherever we wondered was the best of Disney. The Sanaa restaurant opened a couple weeks prior our 10/8/16 arrival for QM breakfast. Excellent and quick. The view of the animals was worth waking up for.

We had a late diner one night without a reservation. But I am a Landry's member which gives you priority seating. So the wait was not long. The drinks were fun and we got to keep the glass. I like how they don't give you the dirty one by have clean ones in a box and the build a dino counter. I had the roasted chicken which was fabulous. Can't remember what Sister had but I know she enjoyed it. Donut holes, enough said! The only issue with the restaurant is after a while the storms start to sound like screaming children which can be nerve wracking after a while. Would go back as it is so much fun.

We were seated upstairs, at first next to the waiters pass thru, not good, they did move us one table over which was better not great. The restaurant is loud, it is hard to have a conversation over the music and other people. Being open the voices carry. The steak was good, the mac and cheese was good, the desserts were good, the service not so much. He didn't seem like he wanted to be bothered with us. For being a steakhouse, I thought the steaks would be top quality. A little disappointed in the place but would probably give it another chance in the future

DO NOT enter this park on a day that the festival is occurring, especially on the weekends with your children. We witnessed thousands of inappropriate shirts, extreme cussing, vulgar displays of public drunkenness to the point that many people could NOT stand on their own. SHAME on Disney for letting this festival become Bourbon St. during Mardi Gras night!!!!

Our family absolutely LOVED this new technological feature of our Disney Vacation. Rather than having to run your debit card at every store & restaurant, simply wave your band at a key station and enter your pin then voila'- everything your need will be added to your resort room's bill if you are staying on property. SO MUCH EASIER and fun to use.

My husband and I booked the Sept 15th tour. We took a cab from the French Quarter in order to be at MK by 7:30am for check-in. We were dropped off at the Contemporary and walked over.
There were 10 of us in the tour and Joe was our Engineer. We got our name tags and then took the train to the roundhouse where the other trains and monorails are kept. We got to see the yellow monorail come out and start its day. Joe went over every detail of how the trains operate and we all took turns in in the tinder and saw how the boilers work. Seeing what the engineers do to keep these trains running is amazing. They love what they do and it shows.
At the end of the tour (approx. 10:30am) we were brought back to the station and Joe told us about some of the history behind it. Then he gave each of us a train tour pin and card. Joe is a great Engineer and converted me from a "Tag Along" to a train buff !

The conch chowder was more like their 'Baked Potato' soup. Huge chunks of potato and the conch had been ground up into teeny pieces smaller than ground hamburger. How the heck is a person supposed to taste it I'd like to know.
Well, my husband LOVED his prime rib which was perfect and the Lamb was even more delicious than Pot Roast. I had the Crab Cakes which were absolutely excellent with large chunks of white crabmeat.
Our desserts tasted absolutely delicious. My husband had the flour-less chocolate torte and our son had the bread pudding.
Everything was great but we would've liked better options for our son to eat because he's in that in-between age of older than 9 but not wanting to order from the kids menu.
Fabulous service and a great entree' selection. If we ever decide to stay here again, we would definitely choose to eat at O'livia's.
