After all of the positive reviews I have read, we finally tried this place out, and it did not disappoint. The food was very good, and the options are very unique. The prices are also very similar to what you find at other places (so a Cheeseburger in MK is costing the same as the shrimp stir fry here). Definitely will be on our future visit list.

Overall this was a good experience. The food was much better than what we had a year ago (I think we hit an off day). The princess interaction as always was great. It is quite pricey to get the short princess interaction, but if you have a kid really into princesses, I still pick this over Cinderella's Royal Table.

I would go over 10 here if I could. In a week where we ate at a lot of high end places, this was the best we had hands down. The service was top notch and the food was great. Steaks were cooked perfect, sides were very good, just blown away. I even made a comment to my wife that I felt this blew California Grill out of the water. The Wave is now on a regular rotation for restaurants for our visits.

I was blown away with Pecos. Honestly I had low expectations but we were starving and sick of walking (and didn't want Columbia Harbor again). Food was very good, the condiment bar was great, and it went quickly. We will definitely be back.

This was the worst experience we had this trip (and one of the worst I have had in years). After checking in 5 minutes early, we were seated 15 minutes late. We were a table of 3 and watched as other tables of 3 showed up after us and got seated before us. But I can live with that.
Once seated (in a section with about 4 other tables at this point), we waited 3-4 minutes until I finally told my wife to take our daughter (they were both starving) to the buffet and that I would get the drinks. The waitress finally showed up as they got back from the buffet. The drinks arrived after I had been to the buffet and back. The characters then made their way around, and they were great. after 30 minutes, we had seen them all, and had stuffed ourselves enough. 25 minutes later, our bill came. For a 11:45 reservation, we were out of the place at 1:10. Just unacceptable to me.
As for the food, it was mediocre at best. Shrimp were fine but tiny, the cheese potatoes were good. Pancakes were pancakes. I laughed at one point someone else in line made some comment along the lines of "Nothing is better on a 96 degree day in Orlando than Navy Bean Soup."
Overall, there is no chance we will be back. You can find the same characters at other places with much better food and service.

We stayed in a king room on the top floor in the Magnolia Mansion September 12-17, 2016. The room was beautiful and we had plenty of space for myself and hubby. Our room was near the front of the building, so our first sight each morning was the river and walking trails. This is my favorite moderate resort. It feels the most laid-back to me. Especially if we are enjoying some downtime. The pools are nice and the boat to Disney Springs is very relaxing.
My only real drawback is (as others have said) that it is a very popular resort - meaning crowded. The week we stayed was considered low crowds most places, but you wouldn't know that by the bus scheduling. We experienced very long waits at times. Others around us had not taken this into account and were missing dinner reservations. We had a car with us and we did use it a couple of times just to avoid the long lines either at the resort or at the parks to get back "home."
Regardless, I still love the atmosphere and the background music. It is a very pretty resort.

We ate here on September 16, 2016, during a monsoon (e.g. normal Florida evening). The Darkside Chicken and Waffles were fine. Usual chicken fingers, but the Vadar waffles were too cute. Portion size was good and my hubby and split it as a snack.
It is a partly open-air restaurant, so it tends to be noisy. Metal chairs constantly dragged across tile floors and such, but the theming is fun if you take the time to look around - a storage area for movie props.
Unfortunately many of the tables were taken by people not eating, but just avoiding the rain, so that was a bit inconvenient. But all in all, if you are looking for a quick bite, it is just that.

We ate lunch at the Coral Reef on September 16, 2016. Instead of purchasing a large meal, my hubby and I shared three appetizers and we loved all of them. We ate the Frisee and Endive Salad, which was a very large portion and had a nice light dressing. Plenty of walnuts, cranberries and such. The Heirloom Tomatoes was a Caprese salad with tomatoes and mozzarella slices. Very tasty. We also had the Crispy Rhode Island Calamari and I could have eaten my weight in this appetizer. It was so good. Corn relish and sauce really set it off. All appetizers were a large size and we had plenty to eat between the two of us.
The dining room is set in three tiers (I believe) and we were on the second tier back from the tank on the front row. While it would have been nice to sit closer, I actually feel we could see everything much better from our vantage point. We could see all tank windows and could watch the animals come and go. Two sea turtles spared over a resting place by the window and the children seated there were very excited.
All in all a very nice experience.

On September 16, 2016, my hubby and I shared a fairly simple turkey sandwich as a snack. It was the usual pre-made, in a plastic container, so nothing beyond what you usually encounter at a Starbucks.
The location, while convenient, is also at the crossroads of Sunset Boulevard and Hollywood Boulevard. It can be very crazy there at busy times of the day.
We took our sandwich and ate it in the outdoor seating for Starring Rolls, which is just across Sunset Boulevard. That is a relatively more peaceful setting.

My 4 year old granddaughter and I went to this Tea on 9/11/16. The Garden Tea Room is charming and we were greeted warmly. After her crowning and being sprinkled with rose petals, we went to our table where she was given her Princess Aurora doll. It was one of the most beautiful dolls I have seen and she was thrilled! Rose Petal was a wonderful hostess and very entertaining. When Aurora arrived she went from table to table and spent plenty of time with each girl. The girls were also each given a rose, a bracelet, a necklace, and a pink bag to carry all their "goodies" in. After our tea sandwiches which were very good and our Princess cake which was delicious, Aurora took the girls for a Princess Parade around the lobby of the Grand Floridian and then each girl had a portrait photo taken with their doll. This Princess Tea is a little pricey, but it turned out to be one of the best memories my granddaughter and I have ever made. I would recommend it to anyone (especially Grandma) who has a little girl who loves the princesses.
