Can't give it a 0 or negative number - wish I could though!!! My adult daughter and I just finished our stay at Disney World (There from May 10 to 16) and were quite disappointed in the service that the shuttles to the parks provide. The Magic Kingdom buses were sometimes few and far between. We were staying at Port Orleans Riverside. On the one day we talked with a lady who was there for an hour and a half and who had counted 17 other park buses before a Magic Kingdom bus arrived. She was with her elderly parents who were in scooters so it was a long wait. The buses, when they arrived, were very overcrowded and we stood up on most of our bus trips. We are back and now planning our next adventure to Disney and we’re hoping that the bus problems will be resolved by the time we go back. The concept of the park shuttles is great but leave yourself lots of time getting to where you are going – especially if your have breakfast/lunch/dinner reservations.

My daughter (33) and I stayed here from May 10 to 16. This is my third stay at this resort and it is one of my favourites. We stayed in room 9071 (Princess Rooms facing river) and loved it!! We were just around the corner from the quiet pool and just a quick walk from the main pool and the food court. This resort is very large but the walk is just wonderful, beautiful and quite relaxing. The staff here are all very helpful and friendly and made our stay just the best. Many posts talk about how late in the day it is before their room is serviced – please keep in mind the size of the resort and how many people the cleaning staff look after. We felt that Hazel did a great job and she and all the cleaners should be commended for how well they do their jobs. If you are considering staying here – you won’t be disappointed! The only reason I gave this resort a 9 is because of the buses. We were quite disappointed in the service that the shuttles to the parks provide. From the moment we arrived to the moment we checked out, the hotel was as much part of our vacation experience as the theme parks. Incredible staff, cultural learning experiences for the kids, and animals galore. Only con, and it is most likely for safety reasons with animals, is there is only one exit for pool, and no outdoor walking trails like at other resorts.

Very nice atmosphere, but dimly light and difficult to read menu and see food. Polla A La Rajas was very good, had a nice cream sauce. Other dishes were average. We had a reservation but still waited 1/2 hour for table, even though there were always about 10 tables vacant. Either they were short-staffed or inefficient.

Burgers were decent. Whole restaurant is dark because they are showing clips of old Sci-Fi movies, which are a little scary. With the movies playing also eliminated any conversation. Food OK, but nothing spectacular.

We were in the mansions--Acadian House. The walk to the lobby wasn't too bad. Love taking the boat to Downtown Disney! Main pool was very refreshing and not too crowded late afternoon. Found the bus service to be fine. My parents did get a little lost coming back from MK (they're in their 70s and have only stayed once in an All Star resort) but it turned out ok. I'd booked two rooms and they gave us connecting rooms. We had 4 in our room--me, hubby, 2 sons (17 and 22). My parents had the other room. My daughter decided to fly down to join us for our last day. I went to the front desk the night before she arrived to add her to my parent's room expecting to pay an extra adult fee. The CM added her as a day guest--no charge!--and printed a key card for me to give her. It worked out great! I am looking forward to staying at PO Riverside again in the future.

Just returned from the Mother's Day cruise on Dream. We had a wonderful experience. Got to the port around 11:30. As Castaway Club members we got right on. My parents were with us--first time with Disney but boarded maybe 5 minutes behind us. Had planned to head to Cabanas but when hubby asked CM for directions she told us to go to Enchanted Garden--Cabanas was full. Great suggestion and perfect timing! After a good lunch we explored the ship and found Vibe for 17-year old son. Got him checked in (they get a Vibe key card to replace KTTW card) and checked out the area--nice pools just for the teens. He enjoyed the first night get acquainted time and late-night dodgeball. He went to Vibe several times but did most things with the fam, mainly with older brother (22). 22-year old was caught in the gap--young singles group is 18-21; not into clubbing and bar. But he found enough to do that he is interested in going again with friends. Glad the boys had each other. Had no problems or delays getting into our stateroom (6150). My parents were happy with their inside stateroom. Although we had different dinner times (by choice due to personal schedule differences), we were still able to do a lot together. Dining was wonderful! Loved all of the MDRs. Animator's Palate on the Dream is greatly improved from the Magic. Nothing but praise for the shows and movies (theater does get cold!) and AquaDuck is fantastic! Great time to go is during port days. I can't think of anything that would have made it better. Looking forward to checking out the Fantasy in September 2014!
