I finally saw this show recently while at WDW after having it on my bucket list for a while. Unfortunately, I didn't think the show lived up to the hype. Don't get me wrong, the show is fun. Unfortunately, because I went to the Polynesian Cultural Center while I was in Oahu last year, the traditional dances were versions of ones I had seen there. I have never really liked luau food, so I wasn't there for that. Of the dancers, the fire dancer was phenomenal!
If you've never been to Hawaii, this is a great show. If you have, you won't see many new things.

Have to say that I was very disappointed. I wanted eggs over easy. Stood in line behind the people who were having their eggs prepared. Lady walks up next to me and is asked what she wants to eat. Hello!!! I was here. I let her go and walked away. Spoke to management and it was fixed. Food selection on the buffet was the same as other places. Certainly not worth the price. Waiter was nothing to write home about. Never got to see Pooh or Tigger.

Our family of 5 -- 3 teens, 2 parents-- stayed 3 nights in July. We were very comfortable in a standard room. Our 13 yr. old (5'1") enjoyed sleeping on the daybed & could stretch out completely. I would recommend the daybed for children & petite adults only.
There were minor "flaws" in the room, such as a couple of scuffs on the wall, one place where the wallpaper was coming loose, etc., but these things were barely noticeable and overall the room was beautiful and very clean.
We all had a great time swimming in Stormalong Bay. It was crowded in the afternoons, but late at night there were very few guests swimming and we enjoyed a quieter experience then.
Every castmember we encountered at Yacht Club for our entire stay was friendly & pleasant. (Not so in the parks, I'm sorry to say.)
Location is outstanding. Our family loves to walk around the lake and visit the Boardwalk Bakery for breakfast. Walking back to our room from Epcot after the fireworks was easy.
We did not take advantage of our refillable mugs much this time, because the refill station is at Hurricane Hannah's by the pool -- quite a hike from our room. The Ale & Compass (bar) in the lobby will fill your mug for you from 6 a.m. to noon. This is a tight space w/one cast member, though, so there can be a wait. Boardwalk Bakery is a refill station, but we were told that YC guests should use the refill stations at their own resort.
Lastly, we were in room 3032 w/ a standard view of the front of the hotel. We could see some rooftop, but also a lot of trees, the fountain, lush landscaping. Not an unpleasant view. We had a wide porch instead of a balcony. It was huge, & shared w/3 other rooms, though we never ran in to any other guests during our stay. I would LOVE to book rooms 3076, 3078, 3080, & 3082 for a stay w/extended family. All of the rooms share the porch.
Hope we can visit again someday!

Our service was outstanding. It was our favorite server, Walter, who moved over from the California Grill. Loved the food here too. This was our best meal out of the 8 days that we were at Disney. Well worth every penny. We were greeted promptly and politely. Seated right away. I can't say enough about this restaurant. Can't wait to go back.

Our server was not very attentive. We were seated up close to the grill so it was not a place where we could be forgotten. Meat was ok. I've had better in the past from O'Hana. Lots of food, so that was not an issue.

Love what the buffet provides. This was our second time there and will go back. I liked the fresh fruit and no fruit flies around the food here! Everything on buffet was replenished as soon as possible.

A lot of good choices on the menu. Quiet now that the arcade is gone and no birds flying in an out and eating at your feet. I like that the food is delivered to your table. No chance of me dropping the tray now!

Good thing we were not in a hurry. Waited a long time for server to come to our table to order drinks. This was the theme for dinner. Wait, wait and wait some more. It took almost 3 hours for dinner. That is way too long. Food was good. Filet cooked just right. Loved the peach salad. Another restaurant that loud and to be there for 3 hours was too long. Won't go back.

We had a lot of good food. The service was excellent. Did not feel rushed and it was a nice quiet meal. Seems every restaurant is so loud and noisy that it takes away from the meal. Not here! Love this place.

My 11 year old son asked to go on this tour and I was so pleasantly surprised by how much fun we had. The tour lasted about an hour, and was very educational. My boys got to carry around ladybugs and release them in the greenhouse. We were able to touch, smell and taste the different vegetation growing. The tour guide did a great job and was very friendly. I wish I could buy a mold to grow Mickey cucumbers at home!
