Recently stayed here. Best resort I’ve stayed at! Room was a little bit of a walk from the lobby. Pool was nice. Room was themed well. View was amazing. Buses were not a problem. Came one after another. Never waited in a line for a bus. Best dining in Disney world here! Overall really fantastic service and stay here!

Pros:

Savanna view Zebra Domes Boma, Jiko, and Sanaa

Cons:

Buses Big resort

Review of Tomorrowland Speedway

Should be renamed yesterdayland speedway. There is nothing futuristic about driving a slow vaguely controllable petrol go-kart around a ring. The smell and heat are both awful. Very little shade in the queue, and limited on the ride itself. Don’t bother.

Pros:

you get to move a car around a circuit.

Cons:

The smell, the noise, the steering, the lack of shade.

This is one of Disney’s oldest coasters - and it shows. These days it’s pretty uninspiring. Absolutely nothing to look at as you rattle around in the dark except dimly lit scaffolding and presumably the operations room. if you need a spinal disc slipping back in, it may help, although it may also shake the others out. uncomfortable and uninspiring, it’s time this was rebooted. or closed.

Pros:

None. Nothing. Nada

Cons:

All of it. Nothing to see and you come out feeling like you did 3 rounds with [insert name of favourite boxer here].

Review of Grand Californian Hotel

My family and I just stayed in a one bedroom villa at the Grand Californian in early July. This was our very first stay here and the resort did not disappoint! We were greeted by the friendly cast members and received an upper floor villa with a view of Disney Adventures Park. Our villa was in great condition and very clean. It was so nice being on property with the ability to quickly return to our room and change clothes/dine. We enjoyed the pool area and ate at the restaurant there. The back entrance to California Adventures was amazing and we used this to change clothes after getting soaked on Grizzly Rapids. Only bad thing was hearing a little bit of beaping from cleaning vehicles in the middle of night. I was the only one bothered by this, everyone else slept through it.

Pros:

Beautiful resort and villa! Loved the close proximity to both parks. Excellent restaurants and cast members as well. Hope to return someday.

Cons:

If you're a light sleeper you might hear California Adventure nighttime cleaning if you're facing the back entrance.

Why pay so much to not be walking distance to the parks? Many other Deluxe resorts are the same price, but you can walk to the parks. This hotel is nice, but not worth it for the location.

Pros:

Transportation

Cons:

Expensive

Average food, nothing at all special about the hot dogs or tots. The lines are long if you don't mobile order. The biggest downside is that there is very little seating and what there is can be in the sun. We ended up sitting on a wall a fair distance from the restaurant.

Pros:

Convenient if you are really hungry

Cons:

Average food, not much seating

Don’t purchase express service. You pay double and still have to wait for everyone to board the bus. The wais is just as long as regular fair.

Pros:

First stop

Cons:

Not worth it! Take a private car service .

Review of Enchanted Tales with Belle

Not nearly as good as it was pre-covid. The whole process is very rushed. Belle only had time to take photos with the kids who were chosen to be in the show. My 4yo grandson was very disappointed he couldn't get his picture with Belle. Cast members didn't seem to care. They did offer me a photopass card so I could see photos of a bunch of strangers with Belle. Fortunately my grandson was able to meet the "real" Belle at Akershus the next day. That was a much better experience. Don't waste a fastpass on this attraction.

Pros:

Fun for kids who are chosen.

Cons:

Very rushed. Only photos for kids who are chosen.

Review of California Grill

Our waiter was rude and snapped at our party for asking to speak with the chef about allergies the way we have done at every other Disney restaurant. He then took it out on us by never taking our drink orders and delaying our main order. After 1.5 hours we had only received appetizers. The full meal took over 3 hours. For a supposedly fine dining experience, this was the worst meal of our trip.

Pros:

The view is amazing! The food (when we eventually received any) was also really good.

Cons:

Our waiter was really rude and seemed to be punishing us for asking questions about allergies. It shouldn't take over an hour and a half just to get appetizers for a table of 5.
