Review of Diamond Horseshoe - Frontierland - Open Seasonally

The Diamond Horseshoe is located in Frontierland inside Disney's Magic Kingdom park. It is an all you care to eat western themed meal served family style - where I try to eat at least once on each trip to Disney.

It starts off with their Frontier Salad which consists of Tossed Greens, Tomatoes, Onions, Roasted Corn, and Cornbread Croutons served with House-made Chipotle-Ranch Dressing. Refills are available upon request - I know this for a fact as I love this salad so much I have a hard time moving past it to the main meal. 🙂

The Saloon Feast consists of Barbecued Pulled Pork, Carved Turkey Breast, Smoked Sausage, Braised Beef, Cowboy Beans, Seasonal Vegetables and Baked Macaroni & Cheese all served on a large platter for the table (I like everything except the Cowboy Beans). Make sure to try the Cornbread too - it is delicious.

If you have any room left you can end your meal with a Campfire Brownie served in an iron skillet.

This meal is pricey, but if you can time it right you can have a good breakfast and then eat here mid-afternoon to cover both lunch and dinner. Reservations are recommended.

Pros:

No reason to ever leave hungry! Nice place to stop and eat/rest during a hot afternoon at MK. Reservations rarely needed. If you know there is something you will not eat, you can ask for it to not be included with what is delivered to your table.

Cons:

Pretty pricey, especially for a family.

Review of Saratoga Springs Resort (Disney Vacation Club)

This is a beautiful resort, but it is very large and spread out. The rooms are dated and a little worn, but even though we had heard some bad reviews our room was perfectly fine. We had a car, but the few times we used the buses we had very short waits. We had done online check-in but we did stop at the main building to leave our bags with bell services and later to pick up our bags, attach our credit cards to our magic bands, and pick up refillable mugs. All the cms there were very friendly and helpful, but we never went back there as it was too far a walk from our room. We loved being able to walk to Disney Springs to dine and shop in the evenings, but this can be quite a walk from some locations.

Pros:

beautiful, peaceful resort nice pools close to Disney Springs

Cons:

huge resort rooms are dated and worn

Since I frequent WDW often I like to try new experiences. My Aunt and I did this tour in October 2017. There was a group of about 10 of us. I\\'ve been waiting for a tour that would take me around the world. I loved this. Well worth the wait!
It started out a little slow. Our guide had all the ear pieces tangled and we had to wait for him to get started. After that it was smooth sailing. I loved all the in-depth information about the countries. It was exactly what I was looking for. Starting our morning before the countries opened for business is an extra treat!
The tour started in Mexico and we worked around the lagoon. As we stopped in each country, I was once again amazed at the detail in the pavilions and all the stories. Going there as much as I do I feel like I rush by to get to attractions and don’t get to appreciate all the details put in to the areas.
We went thru just about all the countries before we stopped for a lunch at the Rose and Crown Pub. One of my favorite spots.
After lunch we wrapped up with England and Canada. All in all, it was well worth the money. I would highly recommend.

Pros:

Getting to see the countries without the crowds Lunch is included

Cons:

none

My family stayed here for Fathers day weeend in 2018. We rented a car, so that made getting around easier. We did find that the food was better at French Quarter. The pool is pretty cool, but got very crowded and felt crowded. I know they allow dogs at this resort, but we didn't see any.

Pros:

Feel that you are in the south

Cons:

food choices were better at French Quarter

I stay here for work when i'm in the area. Nice to get the Disney feel when i'm in town. It's pretty inexpensive as well. I enjoy the theme of different buildings and all the grown up toys! I have stayed here with the family when the kids were little, but now they are teenagers and need more space.

Pros:

Feel of the resort. Just walking around and taking it all in.

Cons:

Buses can be slow and crowded.

Review of Maria and Enzo's Ristorante

This was my first time at Maria & Enzo's and I was lucky enough to be there for Sunday Brunch. All I can say is Wow. First off, my server was fantastic! She checked on me often enough that I felt catered to without feeling like I was being interrupted.

Second, the Brunch was fabulous. It starts out with access to an appetizer table that includes pasta salad, two green salads, salumi and cheese tray, foccacia bread, smoked salmon and boiled shrimp - and includes as many trips as you would like to make - then moves on to your choice of entree with the meal ending with a nice selection of desserts - including a chocolate fountain. Amazing!

I was considering getting the French Toast entree but I was not sure if I would like it. My server assured me that if I was unhappy that they would replace it with another option with no problem (by the way I loved it). I also chose the endless Mimosa option and was happily surprised that my server kept it filled until I said no more. 🙂

To make the experience even better (if that was even possible) they had live harpest playing the whole time I was there. Really beautiful! Throughout my entire meal I never felt rushed or like I should leave so they could 'turn the table'. A very enjoyable experience that I would highly recommend!!

Pros:

Brunch included many options for different tastes.

Cons:

I would not recommend for children.

Ate here in April 2018 for lunch with my husband and parents on one of the first days of our 8 day trip. We sat at the bar and shared two orders of Ahi Tuna nachos and two orders of chicken lo mein. We had several rounds of the Pink Himalayan cocktails (gin, red grapefruit juice, passionfruit, lemon grass) which were one of the week favorites. In fact, everyone loved the atmosphere, drinks, food and bartenders so much, we had dinner here on one of our last nights. This time we shared two orders of the Korean BBQ ribs (which my dad is still talking about) and more lo mein. Absolutely fabulous.

Pros:

food, atmosphere, cocktails

Cons:

none

Hawaii feel in the heart of Orlando. This resort is great. Feels like a vacation within a vacation. And they have Dole Whip and some of the best drinks in all of WDW at the bars here. Good choice of food as well. View of fireworks on the beach at night.

Pros:

So many things. Pools. Beaches. Smores at night. Feel of the main building!

Cons:

I can' think of any

They should have left Fulton’s alone. The decor here now is very underwhelming, the service sketchy and the food is overpriced. We watched as a woman waited for a $200 gift certificate she wanted to purchase. She waited so long she finally left. There’s no excuse for that type of service.

Pros:

None

Cons:

Service, price, decor

Nice resort for adults. Good pool. Good Bar. The remodeled rooms are great. The layout is big, so can be a lot of walking to get around. We rent a car so not bad for us.

Pros:

The large pool is great to relax by. Feels amazing after a day in the parks.

Cons:

large resort. Current construction is bothersome.
