Steve Barrett is a doctor and Disney nut whose favorite Walt Disney World memory is strolling through the Magic Kingdom with his young son on his shoulders. Not surprisingly, his favorite spot in the World is anywhere there's a Hidden Mickey. He suggests that all visitors take some time to chat with cast members, especially when looking for Hidden Mickeys, as they can enrich your Disney experience and make it even more magical.

Saratoga Springs Resort – A Few Cool Hidden Mickeys

I visited Saratoga Springs Resort to check out a few Hidden Mickeys. I drove over to The Paddock pool area. Here I’m standing in front of the counter at The Paddock Grill. A decent classic (three-circle) Hidden Mickey inside the Aquatic Play Area at The Paddock pool was first submitted by our very own Deb … Continue reading "Saratoga Springs Resort – A Few Cool Hidden Mickeys"

One gorgeous Sunday morning, my wife Vickie and I drove to the BoardWalk area to join Deb Wills and other All Ears folks to encourage the Disney marathoners as they struggled toward the finish line. We staked out a spot near the bridge from the Swan and Dolphin Resorts to the Yacht Club promenade. This … Continue reading "Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend – Jan, 2012"

More Holiday Cheer at WDW

I enjoy music of all types, and the British Revolution group at Epcot’s United Kingdom Pavilion adds a new dimension of rock and roll to Walt Disney World. They debuted in May of 2011 and have delighted audiences since with British rock music from over the decades since the 1960’s. This year, my sister Donna … Continue reading "More Holiday Cheer at WDW"

Vickie and I visited Disney’s Hollywood Studios to check out “The Osborne Family Spectacle of Dancing Lights.” I stopped by a Hidden Mickey in a painted window at the entrance to the Streets of America, not far from the Writer’s Stop. A classic Mickey sand trap is in the leftmost window as you face the … Continue reading "2011 Osborne Lights, and a few Hidden Mickeys"

I have to make reservations at the Coral Reef Restaurant at Epcot to admire the classic Hidden Mickey in the decorative tile inside. D23, a Disney Legend, and Epcot Food & Wine Festival

Vickie and I strolled toward the back entrance of Epcot one morning to check out a D23 event at the Food & Wine Festival. I spotted remnants of some Food & Wine (in this case, Beer) revelers outside the Beach Club Resort. I think they’re still asleep! I very much enjoy Disney’s music lineups for … Continue reading "D23, a Disney Legend, and Epcot Food & Wine Festival"

Soaring High at Downtown Disney and new Hidden Images

One afternoon, Vickie and I had lunch at Paradiso 37 at Pleasure Island. The chips and salsa were fresh, and the Mexican dishes were decent (I had chicken enchiladas with verde sauce). The overhead music was interesting – a combination of current pop music and country songs. I’m not normally a country music fan, but … Continue reading "Soaring High at Downtown Disney and new Hidden Images"

A Day at the Studios and Epcot with HM’s and first-time visitors from Canada

Vickie and I had lunch at Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater Restaurant at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. We like to cool off inside this restaurant on a warm day. While watching the cartoons and movie clips, I took photos of Tinker Bell and Mickey and the classic Hidden Mickey on the youngster’s spacesuit; it’s formed by a circle … Continue reading "A Day at the Studios and Epcot with HM’s and first-time visitors from Canada"
