Universal’s Brand New Texas Theme Park Opens Next Month

After months of anticipation, an extremely unique Universal experience is almost open!

The Universal Kids Resort, a theme park and hotel geared entirely towards kids, will open in Frisco, Texas, in one month!

This one-of-a-kind experience is entirely focused on kids, with all the theming and attractions geared towards all the littlest members of your family. This is an exciting venture for Universal since most of its parks are known for having tons of thrill rides with fewer kid-focused rides (although they are there if you know where to look — take DreamWorks Land at Universal Orlando, for example!).

However, this new park will have seven brand new lands themed to kids’ favorite movies and shows.

First up is Shrek’s Swamp, where guests get to visit the iconic swamp, ride a family attraction, and play in a playground made for Shrek’s triplets called Shrek’s Swamp Splash and Smash.

TrollsFest, which includes two attractions — Rhonda’s TrollsFest Express, a fun coaster, and the Hair in the Clouds, a balloon ride that takes you up above the land! It will also include a techno dance party.

Isle of Curiosity featuring Gabby’s Dollhouse is the entrance land and will include a dance party with Gabby and her friends!

SpongeBob SquarePants Bikini Bottom takes place inside SpongeBob’s iconic under-the-sea home. It will feature six fun, different attractions!

Minions V.S Minions, themed to the Yellow Minions trying to tame the wild Purple Minions, in this water-filled land. There will be a splash pad as well as a water ride!

Puss in Boots Del Mar takes you to the village of Del Mar, where you can experience rides, games, a show, and yummy food!

And Jurassic World Adventure Camp, which will include three rides, an awesome play area, and the chance to meet baby raptors!

This park looks like a kid’s imagination come to life, and we are so excited that Universal is taking this opportunity to make an experience focused on kids. This park officially opens in one month on July 1st!
