An Iconic Disneyland Attraction Is CLOSING This Summer

We hate to say it, but the list of closures at the Disneyland Resort is expanding!

If you’re planning on visiting the Disneyland Park this summer, you have a little over a month to still enjoy one of the park’s most iconic rides before it closes for temporary refurbishment.

Disneyland’s King Arthur Carrousel is scheduled to close for refurbishment on July 6th. So, if you’re visiting Disneyland this summer, you have until then to ride the classic Fantasyland attraction.

We don’t have any details on an official reopening date as of right now. It could be a lengthy refurbishment, or it could be a short one. It’s hard to tell because Disney also hasn’t shared any details on what specific work is being done.

This type of refurbishment is routine at Disneyland. As an attraction that’s been around since the park’s opening day, these types of refurbishments are essential to keep classic attractions going strong.

This list will join Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters on the list of iconic rides that are closed at Disneyland Park. The attraction in Tomorrowland also has no official reopening date in sight. It’s been closed for some time now, and we haven’t gotten much of an update.

Disneyland’s Pirates of the Caribbean is currently getting a lengthy refurbishment, and like the other two attractions, this ride has no scheduled reopening date.

Lastly, the Silly Symphony Swings over in Disney California Adventure has been closed for over a month, with no confirmed reopening date. We’ll be waiting to hear updates on all four rides across the Disneyland Resort.
