Closing Date Announced For Popular Universal Orlando Attraction

Big news out of Universal Orlando!

We’ve heard rumors this show is going away, and while it’s not exactly going away, the rumors seem to be coming true, with changes on the horizon.

The Horror Make-Up Show will be closing on May 12th. The show will be reimagined and reopened later this year.

Previously, there were rumors that it would close in January 2026 for a reimagining. While the dates were a bit off, they turned out to be true, and changes are being made to this classic show.

The show walked guests through how “top make-up and special effects artists craft some of the creepy characters you’ve seen on the big screen.” It features movie clips, props, and interactive demonstrations and shows off one of the coolest parts of the moviemaking process.

This isn’t the only change coming to Universal Orlando. Fast & Furious: Hollywood Drift will be opening in 2027! We’ve been so excited for this new roller coaster and to hang out with the family again.

Halloween Horror Nights are also around the corner. They run on nights from August 28th to November 1st, and while they’ve announced a few details, we’re still waiting on more houses to be announced so we know how to plan our costumes!
