CONFIRMED: Universal Orlando Adds 2 More Attractions to Its List of Closures

It seems Disney World is far from the only Orlando theme park that has an influx of attraction closures right now — Universal Orlando is getting in on the trend, too.

If you’re heading to the resort in the next few weeks, you likely already know about a few of the attraction closures previously announced, such as Jurassic Park River Adventure and the Hogwarts Express, but now there are MORE to add to the list.

We just caught that Universal Orlando has added two more closures to its list. Ollivanders Wand Shop in Hogsmeade will be closed on February 26th, and Me Ship, The Olive in Toon Lagoon will be closed from April 19th to April 25th.

We’re thrilled to see that Ollivanders will only be closed for one day, as this is a very popular attraction for guests. Yes, it doesn’t get as long of lines as it used to (which we appreciate, but it’s also SO cool, we don’t want people to miss out), but it’s still something Harry Potter fans, especially younger ones who would be at the perfect age to get their wands, or those visiting for the first time, won’t want to miss out on. In this experience, one person is chosen to go through the special wand ceremony and have a wand choose them! I got to do it when I was a teenager and it truly was unforgettable — I still have my wand to this day.

Additionally, Me Ship, The Olive won’t be closing temporarily until April, and this is a spot you may or may not be familiar with, as it’s a play area for kiddos! It’s got three levels of fun passageways, slides, climbing nets, horns, an interactive piano, and more, and you can even squirt water at guests on Popeye & Bluto’s Bilge-Rat Barges. We’re very glad this won’t be closed for long, because there are already so few spots for kids in Islands of Adventure, and we know how important it is for them to get their energy out.

Fyre Drill in Epic Universe: Through February 13th
Jurassic Park River Adventure in Islands of Adventure: Through November 19th, 2026
Hogwarts Express: Through February 23rd
Finnegan’s Bar & Grill in Universal Studios: Through Winter 2026
