American Airlines To Add 15 New Routes in 2026

Well, if you are making plans to travel, you’re probably starting to think about how you’re getting there, which usually means flying. If you fly American Airlines in 2026, you might have a ton of new options because the company is adding a whopping 15 new routes in the new year!

Next summer, American Airlines is adding 15 new routes, giving you even more options for when you travel.

Today, we’re furthering our commitment with new routes designed to help customers realize their travel goals in 2026 from important hubs such as Chicago and Phoenix,” said Brian Znotins, American’s Senior Vice President of Network and Schedule Planning. “With new routes from places like Lincoln, Nebraska; Abilene, Texas; Columbia, Missouri; and more, we’re providing local residents one-stop access to seal business deals, take a dream vacation with friends or family and enjoy soccer matches on the global stage.”

Here’s a full list of the new routes you’ll be able to fly on next summer:

  • Boston (BOS) to Madison, Wisconsin (MSN), starting on June 18th, 2026, 1X per day
  • Boston to Nantucket, Massachusetts (ACK), starting on  September 8th, 2026, 1X per day
  • Charlotte (CLT) to Columbia, Missouri (COU), starting on June 4th, 2026, 1X per day
  • Chicago (ORD) to Erie, Pennsylvania (ERI), starting on May 21st, 2026, 1X per day
  • ORD to Lincoln, Nebraska (LNK), starting on June 4th, 2026, 1X per day
  • ORD to Tri-Cities, Tennessee (TRI), starting on May 21st, 2026, 1X per day
  • Dallas Fort Worth (DFW) to Lincoln, Nebraska, starting on June 4th, 2026, 2X per day

  • DFW to Roanoke, Virginia (ROA), starting on June 4th, 2026, 1X per day
  • Miami (MIA) to Jackson, Mississippi (JAN) on March 14th, 2026 through August 1st, 2026, 1X per week on Saturdays
  • Phoenix (PHX) to Abilene, Texas (ABI), starting on June 4th, 2026, 1X per day
  • PHX to Anchorage, Alaska (ANC) on May 21st, 2026 through September 8th, 2026, 1X per day
  • PHX to Bozeman, Montana (BZN) on June 4th, 2026 through September 8th, 2026 1X per day
  • PHX to Kalispell, Montana (FCA) on June 19th, 2026 through September 6th, 2026, 2X per week
  • PHX to Lincoln, Nebraska in Winter 2026 (Seasonal), 1X per day
  • PHX to McAllen, Texas (MFE), starting on June 4th, 2026, 1X per day
  • PHX to Rapid City, South Dakota (RAP) on June 4th, 2026 through October 4th, 2026, 1X per day
